If it is true that L. Brown from Smyrna was not voted ANYTHING all conference then the hate for Smyrna is real.

wow
by far one of the best offensive players I have seen this year..probably on defense too but we'll never know??

If that is true, that is past crazy! But, I can tell you that coaches put up and nominate players. You only get one choice per position. You cannot vote for your own players. Maybe the Smyrna coach didn't nominate Brown because he nominated Knight.

I believe just like the Henderson situation, it will work itself out with All-State voting.

Could have nominated Brown at WR.. doesnt matter the Red Lion/ECA kids will never get anything going back the last 3 years..

Man if they are penalizing kids for what school they go to you then they should be ashamed of themselves. These kids work hard and should be rewarded for their success.

Many go onto to bigger and better thing but that still doesn't excuse coaches for not recognizing achievements bc of personal feelings.

Good enough for verbal offers from WVU, Louisville, and Maryland, before he got to Smyrna, and good enough folks won't kick to him anymore (KOR average over 58yds/carry).

How many others have that level of interest, and at least eight games on his resume vs top-46 (2 games vs top-10) HSFB teams in the nation (per CalPreps).

The top two teams in Delaware today are ranked #693 and #923, and it's rare for a Delaware team to crack the top-250.

Perhaps he missed some games with an injury, but he's the real deal.

Which is weird because they had no issue giving some love to Pack which was a shady situation at best

Pack and Dover wasn't hanging 60 on the competition while making these henlopen defensive coordinators look like idiots in the process.

The hate for Smyrna is real.

Pack was a good player though. Definitely lived up to the hype. Now the situation was completely shady but they got away with it no idea how but they did. Brown is better though, and who cares what school the kid came from he can flat out ball give the young man the recognition he deserves. Like mentioned before it's all conferences, things will be sorted out all state easily first team.

Same thing with Harris QB at Dover 1st team all conference then the real people started voting and they got it right with Henderson. Brown should of at least got something though smh.

Completely agree. Henlopen North is terrible at voting every year at every sport. Makes no sense how these idiots votes are the ones that count.

If this is true what does that say about the coaches in the henlopen?

Henlopen coaches are a joke if this is true. Dude averaged like 16 points a game and had almost 1k yards rushing/receiving in 9 games...not to mention best returner in the state. What a joke. They should be ashamed of themselves.

he broke his foot in his freshman season towards the end

Leddie Brown is the Best all purpose player in the State. Even if Smyrna doesn't know how to play him.....

Okay Leddie's uncle. I agree he's the best all purpose player and I'm pretty sure they know how to use him considering he has 19 touchdowns. Maybe he shouldn't have transferred to a school with the returning state offensive player of the year in his class at his position if he wanted more touches...

It's not about touches because Everybody in the Country knows he can run the Ball. It's a proven FACT 1200 yards playing at National Level. I'm trying to say is he being scouted for more than just a RB and they Have ok Defense just place your Best Players where they can Help. And they have show some of his abilities catching the Kick Return. Delaware football is just so Narrow Minded with you even making that Comment cause he going to school for Free no matter who on the field with him...#Facts #D1Bound

Its Judy's policy.. everyone knew that going in. He doesn't have two way players. He didn't last year he didn't the year before that.. If he wanted to play both ways he should have went somewhere else IMO

What made that comment narrow minded? And I'm 100% with you on the fact that they should play him on defense, no argument there. I've been bitching about that for the last 2 years....but he went there knowing Judy plays his good players on offense for the most part...which is why LB is on offense and they score 60 points a game.... and plays whatever is left on defense which is why CR threw all over them

And I'm not a hater. I think Leddie is a ridiculous talent and I'll be rooting for him the rest of his career at smyrna and beyond. Just laying out the facts for you

There are truly some small minds in Lower Del. Had Smyrna not got lucky with that import they would have had at least 1L this year.

Since Leddie didn't play the Central game, what L would they have had if he were not on team? Some games may have been closer. But the thing people don't seem to realize is that Tolbert (#8) would be a starter on 90% of the teams in Delaware. He and other kids would have gotten more touches/reps to further their development if Leddie did not transfer. Of course, Leddie is an asset to any team but don't think that without him, Smyrna would have dropped down to zero in the position. Also, the offense may have featured even more passing without him so who knows how the offense would be different. Probably not much worse given the flexibility the Smyrna coaches have shown. Just to be clear before any misrepresentation of my post starts.. the Smyrna team is damn lucky to have the the talents of Leddie Brown on the team. They would be pretty good without him as well. Not as good but their record may not be any different than it is now.

L. Brown is 1st team conference for All Purpose/Return

Thank you YJM...not sure where this rumor started but was getting old. Thanks for pointing out LB didn't play the SC game too. I'm sure that was mentioned more than once on here.

....the hate still continues as Soroko gets nothing after recording 3-4 picks in 6 conf gms at DB.

To be fair....that defensive secondary got picked on by most of their opponents including some pretty horrid teams (CR) and having multiple players from their defensive backfield make all conference would have been a bit of a stretch...I would bet they are up there in terms of passing yards/TDs allowed. Just a hunch though
