Kiss the playoffs goodbye with that loss for Newark. Now 2-8. This one was close the whole way. Just a few points separated the teams throughout. Newark led 32-29 after three and then Howard's Turner scored the first 8 points of the 4th quarter and they never relinquished the lead after that. I've been to about 6-7 Newark games this year and it's just about the same thing every game. Newark plays hard, they are in all the games but a horrible combination of sloppy ball handling (turnovers), poor rebounding, poor foul shooting, an inability of their big men to finish down low, little outside shooting, questionable use of timeouts and player substitutions does them in every game. The coaching here is really becoming a question in my eyes.
Howard: Cunninghmam-10, Turner-19, Stewart-6, Revelle-6, Curry-5
Newark: Sherman-10, Smith-6, Pauls-5, Martin-11, Bond-8, Peal-2, Knox-2
