Great job. Looking at my notes, I think Conrad has 12 - not 11.

Out of state opponents - Bonus pts will start to factor next week.

Points system is so flaud.... Who in there right mind would have Mt ranked 1 over Smryna... Oh i forgot only pionts system...

OR MAYBE they shouldn't schedule a division 2 school. Just a hunch. Don't be so one sided. You'll take it real hard if Middletown beats Smyrna. Which CAN happen, and then when and if it does you'll end up back on here blaming the refs and cussing.........

Oh wait, one of us had done that :X

Not 1 sided.. Just reality.. . Mt don't have a shot period... Just my opinion.. Then you got Sallies racking up pionts and they Havnt beat anyone period.. That's why the point system flaud..

Hoops, I will admit that Smyrna may be a 1-2-3 touchdown favorite, but Smyrnas game against Howard says Middletown can beat them. So, I would just come down a level before you start predicting a run away championship game .

This is HS football we are talking about and last year Sallies beat Smyrna 76-56, everyone at the state championship game was anticipating another shoot out.....The game ended regulation 26-26 and after OT 32-26.....Anything can happen, everyone can say all they want about Smyrna killing anybody and don't get me wrong, it could happen, but don't throw a fit and never give a team a fighting chance. After the final score, then talk, until Smyrna plays MT or whoever, just let the players play and the scoreboard will tell the true winner

Most of this will change a bunch of times before the reg season ends... but as of now, Friends opponents have more wins than Tatnall opponents, which would make Friends #7 and Tatnall #8.

It's also looking like it's going to take a minimum of 8 wins to get in on the D2 side this year...

D2 has some years where 6-4 will cut it, other years where 7-3 will not, that's why I liked them going to 8 teams on that side.

Barring collapses from the 8 teams that are in right now (let's not forget St. Mark's and Tatnall had DREADFUL second halves last year), it's pretty much set that a lot of 8-2s and a couple of 9-1s (Maybe a 10-0 with either Woodbridge, Milford or Glasgow) will get in, and that's just fine.

Gate- Spartans were in last year if they had reached 5-5. They played the toughest sked in the state and lost 4 games by 12 pts.....However I do think the winning % of the field of 8 this year will be higher but that's only due to the Indy teams

Glasgow has some very nice individual talent and cannot fault them for who they play....but would be nice to see them play a quality opponent.

Milford has not played any one either and yet glasgow has put up almost 10 points more a game than them. It would also be nice to see milford play a quality team as well.

Looking at the schedules, it is very possible that St. Marks goes 7-3 and still gets in because of their strength of schedule (Bonus points) and they would be about the only one to get in with less than 8 wins. There will also be a slew of 6-4 teams and TH only has 9 games and looks like they will be 6-3.

Milford and Glasgow honestly have around the same schedule talent wise. Only competitive teams Glasgow has on the schedule is Hodgson maybe Howard idk and St.G. Their significant win to this point is Hodgson. Milford has Woodbridge Delmar and maybe Laurel. Their significant win is beating DMA 24-0. Seems on here everyone is high on DMA so I agree Glasgow vs Milford would be a great matchup.

The question should be why is everyone so high on Milford? there schedule is very weak... And I'm sorry laurel or Delmar are not tough teams. Howard, Hodgson and st. Georges would beat both of the teams.... Milford's schedule is pretty weak

Milford has only played 4 games, so the points per game stat line online is wrong because Milford was awarded 2 pts for the forfeit. In the games Milford has played, they are averaging just as many pts as Glasgow, if not more. Glasgow has played 5 teams and only 1 of them has a winning record, the others each have 1 W. Milford has beaten 2 teams with winning records in DMA (Tournament team) and Conrad

never said you did... But You imply that they have a tougher schedule... Which is not the case...neither has a real tough schedule...my opinion Milfords is weaker... As I said beating Conrad is nothing to brag about...laurel and Delmar would come up north and get beat by Hodgson, st. Georges and Howard... Those teams would also beat Conrad

Why is it when someone disagrees or has a different perspective on this board you have to have a kid on the team or your a coach etc....lol

Thinks have gotten a bit tougher from what I have heard. I understand that Bowman is out, unconfirmed.

So far Milford's opponents are 9-15 and Glasgow's are 7-17. Also, Glasgow's upcoming opponents have a 7-18 record and Milford's upcoming opponents are 12-13. I have no dog in the fight, but these stats tell me Glasgow's schedule to date has been weaker and it's future schedule is weaker.

Just tells me there are better teams up north who play against better comp... But that's not anything new... That aside as I said the teams you named if they played the better teams up north majority of those schools would lose and in fact do generally lose when they play so....

Upcoming game to see is Milford vs Woodbridge 10/28.
I am not blaming Glasgow for who they play-but nobody can argue they are playing quality teams or anything close to it-time will tell.
But Milford blanked DMA and although I do not think DMA is a powerhouse- they are a decent squad

Schedules are set years in advance. Glasgow has defending state Champs, the runner up, defending hen south champs, a perennial power in hodgson, usually solid d1 in Newark. Just a down year for a few of them. Glasgow this year is deep, well coached and disciplined. They are playing good ball. If they beat bad teams by a touchdown or 2 it would be a red flag. They are taking care of business like a contender should.

Agreed.....not their fault

Just let the year play out. If both of these teams are as good as people are saying then they should meet up eventually. Looking at number it does look like Glasgow has the lighter schedule buy the kids don't pick who they play.

The game with Milford that was considered a forfeit is considered a game. So their point total is still divided by 5 games. If it wasn't ruled a forfeit it would be 4 games and not 5 games.

Both Glasgow and Milford will make
Tourney so we will see how good they are when the play a top team.

Milford will have Woodbridge and that will be tough

After watching Smyrna tonight they may be the most athletic offensive team I seen. They have play makers at every position. Their offense did not look like high school. That been said there should have been no way Stech hung with them for the better part of 2 quarters. I am not sold on there play calling. When I say that I'm talking about onside kicks on every kickoff??? Going for it on 4th and 8 on your own 35 in the first quarter in a tied game??Maybe the play calling changes if the competition is better who knows. I had the feeling watching them they think they are already undefeated this year. Just my two cents but it felt like their due to stub their toe and get smacked in the mouth. Just wondering if they would have the make up to pick themselves up off the mat and gut one out if they had too.

You mean like last year's semis & final?? They gutted out both those tight games. And they've been going with the no punting, no extra point tries, frequent onside kicks since Judy got there. Working so far.

After a dirty play took the QB out in the William Penn semis, the Eagles picked themselves up off the mat in pretty good fashion. I sometimes too question the play calling but the coaches know the team better than I do and they have confidence in them.

You said it best last year. I am talking about the team I saw last night

They certainly did.....they were down 13-0 to WP and rolled off 30pts with Knight running wildcat out of their Diamond set. Was the craziest thing I have ever seen but it worked!
.....and when the rematch came vs the Sals, Coach Judy and staff put together a brilliant scheme/ take lead blocker out so Reeder would be met at the line with nothing but a cluster F of bodies. The same kid who torched that D for 7 TD's in the reg season was for all intents-shut down.
Coach Judy and his crew go full speed and gamble....but you cannot argue with his success. Until somebody stops them, stick to the plan!
If you have not seen the video of the WP v Smyrna game-I think its still on NFHS- watch it, its well worth the time.
