Insanity in Newark

This is on a phone call from a nephew

McKean is winning 17-13. Newark is going in for a score to win the game with less than 1:30 left. The Newark receiver gets stripped before he crosses the goal line. McKean recovers.

McKean's ball backed up against their own goal line. Their QB running out the clock--- kneels in his own end zone. 2 points Safety for Newark.

The score is now 17-15 McKean.

McKean has to kick off to the Jackets. Newark scores with like 20 seconds left and win the game 21-17.

Crazy ending.

If you are McKean followers, this isn't as interesting or entertaining. The headline is what you would call an understatement.

My nephew told me that there are 2 Kelsons on Newark and the wrong one got credited for the 2 TD's.

In any event the Jackets can finish at 5-5 with a win at Christiana on Saturday.

Glad to see Jody Russell and staff are turning things around. Look for Newark to be back in Flight A in 2021.
