I have always pretty much considered south of Dover "The South" but I am not a Delawarean so my opinion means squat.

So which conference will the future Odessian Ducks join? If they join the Henlopen, will they have an automatic OOC schedule that requires them to play Middletown and Appo?

Those folks that live above the canal think anything south of the canal is considered downstate. Those of us from downstate know better. Born and raised Sussex County
When I lived in California, Southern California always started south of wherever the person describing it lived.
Different folks have different perspectives. My dad thought anything south of the Wilmington train station was downstate.
I had a friend in Millsboro who told me he had to go to the Doctor's upstate. I asked him where the doctor's office was, He said "Dover."
