Caravel vs Elkton lost its juice when Barker went down.. It was going to be a sell out accourding to CC folks..not sure I am even going but will be at MT vs Penn Sat

Think MT beats WP rather handily but should still be a good game to watch. Also interested in Howard/St Georges - curious to see if St G really is stronger than expected or if last week was a fluke, not expecting much from Howard. DMA/Milford will be interesting as both seem to possibly be in the D2 mix and a win for either could go a long way.

Intriguing ...Interboro at Sussex Central. That is if Interboro is as good as they were a decade ago.

No they are not....Generations are not staying in the neigborhood like they used to.. They are tough nosed kids but not much better than a mid level D1 team in DE now

Interboro was 8-2 last year and is 3-0 this year so far..... I don't know you have seen them - but they are pretty good this year.

Art, long time no hear from. Remember back in 2004 when Interboro put a running clock and their only regular season loss on the Slowskys. I mean those joyous moments don't come along too often.

Howard vs St Georges- I totally overlooked that-good call!
btw- is St Georges the Catholic Vo-Tech?

I can think of 1 Elkton player who will have enuff juice for all!
Can't tell me he wouldn't like to dump a 2nd loss on the "HoneyBucs"......unfortunately-won't happen and Caravel will find the Win column. If they don't, they could be in some serious playoff trouble!

...so I have now coined "ECAravel" and now "HoneyBucs"

Hey Jawn me and a couple of the guys at the Concord game were joking around about getting ECAravel shirts made up..then the Barker thing happened and kinda took the wind out of those sails.. sucks for you too you would have been receiving a royalty check on the sales .. lol

I'd buy a ECAravel shirt or two. :D

Add a 6'3, 230# Bowe (LB/C/1B), and 6'4, 215# Barker (QB/LHP/1B), and new (non-ECA) 5'11, 195# (C/3B) to a pretty good Caravel baseball team, and this Spring should be very interesting. All three will be 2017 grads.

Didn't realize the other 2 played baseball as well, might have to shelve the idea until baseball season lol

I'd say the two could play college baseball somewhere. Barker has had a few small schools show interest from his baseball camp visits at Wake Forest, Maryland, and Delaware.

....cant say it enough-all jokes aside, really do not like seeing any kid get hurt. And I agree- CA should be just fine-not real impressed with Elkton.
...who remembers Larry Webster and his son!

I said HoneyBucs weeks ago

Psssssss........ I got some news for all you guys.
You better hop on Hudl and check out:
Raiquon Estep#6 RB
Junior at Elkton in Elkton, MD
vs Ghigh and St. Mark's
He's probably the best "pound for pound" (150lbs) you will see this year. He was hurt last game but hopefully he's good for tonight. I went to the Tri-scrimmage vs Ghigh and St. Mark's and he made them look silly.......

Wasn't aware there was another Estep.. The one they had last year was pretty darn good

just looked it up Raiquon was small school 2nd team all-state as a soph I thought he was a Sr.. he was listed at 5'8 155 last year... that changes things some for sure

There was a Rashad Estep that played QB for Dunbar then transferred to St Frances that was a pretty good player as well.. wonder if related

Charter vs Delcastle. It may be the only chance for a conference win for either team. To some that may be intriguing. To others it is amusing. I just think it is a shame.

Swag- I saw him, very good player. If he plays-he can make a difference

Interboro took care of business. Avoided the home cooking, don't think the refs left Georgetown with complimentary BBQ.

DE will avoid seeing PA teams with new scheduling coming out for public schools in District 1 as soon as next fall.

Cheers,

Busch

Actually that kind of sucks for the DE teams that have difficulty filling a schedule,, I am sure they would rather play and lose to a PA team rather only play 9 games

Totally agree. They may find some wiggle room in class A, AA, AAA, but AAAA, AAAAA, AAAAAA classification in District 1(closest district to DE border) will most likely already have all 10 games fully locked in moving forward.

This does not include the Philly Catholic League or the Philly Pubs.

Cheers,

Busch
