I saw on the Sals pre season roster that he wasn't on it. Anybody know what that situation is?

No offense to him. But I never heard of him, what positron does he play? Was with the sals last season? Or is he another ECA transfer?

If I had specific knowledge and I posted it might it be a violation of FERPA?
Dove, read between the lines

HS, he was big teddy bear. He started on Defense as Middle Guard (do they still call it that?) his freshman and sophomore year. He also started his freshmen year on the state championship basketball team.
I have no knowledge of where he is and if he left.

The Sals have about 70 players listed on just there freshmen roster. That's a real luxury to have. That's bigger than most teams programs all together. The Sals don't rebuild...they re-load.

Bummy's Intel had him residing in the McKean feeder. Maybe he's going to play the tuba in AI's marching band.

70. That's a lot of Slowskys. Must be like the cattle stampedes in a 1950's cowboy movie.

I wonder if there is a DIAA waiver hearing involved .... so maybe he's waiting for permission or maybe he's pulling a Tony Bosa and is holding out.

Let The Bumster be serious for a moment. The kid has some size and his basketball play has shown some agile footwork. If he had some training he could probably throw the shot put from Baynard to the Farmer's Market. God bless the yungin'.

@Bum
maybe throw the shot put at the train..
wouldn't that be a funny?

I would be disappointed if I saw some iron orb rusting away in the Brandywine,,,, someone would have to retrieve it,, Sparty you game?

....best be careful he don't miss the train and take out any more seats at Baynard!
....and don't be knocking the Rams! Least we remember they bitch slapped the Gents back in 1980 D1 title game

Its a shame what has happened to JDHS and many others, it was a very good school with good athletics/sports participation. They used to host many a tourney game.

12/6/1980 Bummy picked the Rams to win that one. Rams TB named Bordley (I think) was the star of the show. Fair day for Dec...Apostolico was a a great coach....

@Bum
my dad and coach Marty used to sip wine on a regular basis...
he was heart broken when my brother ( and his posse) went to the "Dark Side" ...
haaaaa

Uncle Bummy; are you sure it was Apostolico who was the coach. I think it was Steve Lennox. Lennox had some good seasons at Dickinson but left Delaware for Interboro where he still is today. The Dickinson program has been in the dumper ever since.

Martin Apostolico

Marty Apostolico excelled in football and swimming as both an athlete and coach. He played three years of varsity football at Wilmington High School, serving as co-captain and was named lst team All-State end in 1949. He also was a three-year member of the varsity swimming team and 1950 captain and placed fifth in the National Swimming Championships at Princeton University. During 1950-51, he played varsity football, basketball and baseball at West Nottingham Academy and served as captain of the football team. Marty attended the University of Delaware from 1951-55. As a three-year varsity football player and starter at end he received 1954 All Mid-Atlantic Conference honors. Marty was also a four-year University of Delaware swimming starter, anchoring the 1954 record setting freestyle relay team where he set a pool record in the 50 yard freestyle in 1953. He coached University of Delaware freshman football in 1955. As coach at Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School 1958-67, he established a varsity swimming record of 74-16. As head football coach 1960-66 his record was 47-18-3. His team was undefeated in 1964 (10-0) and named the number one team in Pennsylvania. Marty was Area Coach of the Year in 1961` and 1964. He was named Lay Teacher of the Year for the entire Diocese of Pittsburgh in 1963. At Dickinson High School he was head football coach from 1967-1981 achieving a record of 92-45 and an overall high school record of 139-63-10. He was named State High School Coach of the Year in 1972 and 1980 (State Division I Champions 1980), and named Delaware Coach of the Year by the National Football Clinic. He served as President of DIFCA 1974-75 and 1976-77 and served as Vice President DIFCA 1973-74.

Hope this works. It is directly from the DE Sports Hall of Fame Website. Coach Apostolico is a Red Devil.

Well that is something you will never see today,, A NCAA dual sport athlete in football and swimming? WTF

wasn't haten, just statin!
that band was horrible...
put your big girl panties on and deal with it...

If this is true Bummy is impressed. If the young man needs to hit the books to be eligible at 18th and Broom then he would have some deficits in moving up to college if he is good enough to play.

The kid could be special but he is still a Slowsky.
