I'm taking Glasgow over Newark..........I have no idea why though

Conrad over Milford (not an upset)

I don't see any upsets this week. I think that there are some decent matchups that could go either way like Dover/Smyrna, st Marks/Arch, Howard/Hodgson, but not upsets.

Clearly the Game of the Week is Dover/Smyrna in my opinion. Penn/Sallies and Mtown are the top 3 teams in state. After those 3 teams i think there is a dropoff. But i wonder if one of these teams is truly worthy of being part of the discussion. Smyrna might be worthy, considering their performance against Sallies. Dover is no slouch. Dover beat Poly, beat a pretty good Lake team and lost to pretty good Dunbar team. Both teams give up points, so this could be a barn burner.

GOTW?

Smyrna @Dover

Delmar @ Laurel

Lake Forest @ Woodbridge

Hodgson @ Howard

Gotta be Smyrna @ Dover. Can Smyrna bounce back and just how good is Dover?

Agreed Smyrna at Dover. Get to see what Dover is made of and its another test for that defense of Smyrna. Excited to see the outcome. Rain will definitely be a factor

does the rain help Appos chances of upsetting Concord (w/o Avery) or do the Raiders still roll over Appo tonight?

Avery is one hell of a player, but I hope the fate of Concord's season doesn't solely rest on his shoulders! Doesn't say much the for rest of the team if one player even of his caliber isn't playing.IMO Though I would love to see Appo win.

Graham Roberts his brother is very good.. IMO might be a better overall player when all is said and done.. he has very good instincts... Avery has size but plays like a kid who is used being the biggest and fastest He plays very straight ahead.. Not saying having Avery out doesn't hurt them but Graham can do some damage himself..

I think it actually helps Concord. They run the ball 80% of the time and prefer to do so. I saw them play twice this year and I heard how the Mount game went. You have to pass on Concord and/ or mix it up a bit to catch them with a pass. If the weather stops Appo from having the ability to pass, Appo will be in trouble. They will definitely miss the athleticism of AVERY on run defense and pass rushing. Heard they will be sitting him out till the Sallies game.

Like ravensrooster said offensively Grahm (Bam)Roberts is the work horse that gets it done offensively. One of his coaches said he has already rushed for over 500 yds in 3 games with 5 TD's. Not bad for a sophomore. Looks like he wants to make his way out of his brothers shadow!

Appo vs Concord was a real good game and the younger Roberts is a heck of a ball player. Appo missed a couple passes due to the weather/wind but I felt both teams battled their tails off. 1st half Appo and 2nd half to Concord and ultimately the game.

I think both teams are bringing a lot of players back next year.

Jeff, I see what your talking about! Just saw the News Journal article: Grahm Roberts 320 yds. 4 TDs tonight . Wow! That's puts him over 800 yds and 9TDs in 4 games.
