Wow! 21-14 for MT and MP? You think MT at home on "Beat the Beast" night will play that flat? Or is Mt. Pleasant that good? I haven't seen the latter all year so I have no perspective on them.

Mount beating Middletown this weekend wouldn't be all that big of a surprise to me, although I don't see it happening.

I also think the D2 race gets that much tighter with Glasgow beating Lake and Tatnall knocking off Friends.

MT might give up a couple over the top to the big fella...but I don't see MP's D stopping MT.. well unless MT does something silly like chucking the rock arround

RR2 I agree, MT's defense has been very good, I'm sure Blum has them well prepared for Mt P passing game & not sure they are going to get much running room either. Only problem has been MT O putting together sustainable drives, they had to re-tool their O from a veer to a one back spread, mainly due too the lose of their #1 RB in week 2. It just doesn't seem like the O has any chemistry @ this point. Mt P is playing @ the jungle for the 1st time on a very special night "Beat The Beast" not sure they have played a game in that type of atmosphere in a long time, hard to win at Cavs stadium especially in your first appearance!

I've got Middletown by 21

Not sure why everyone is so in love with this mount pleasant team. Nice win against a bad Newark team and upset of concord. Other than that they haven't beaten anyone. Brandywine and Delcastle. Played poorly against charter. Good QB and WR but I think the Cavaliers own this game especially up front in the trenches. Middletown defense is legit. Don't be suprised to see a defensive score.

34-13 Middletown

To be honest fan123... unless your playing good out of state games pretty much everyone only has 1 or 2 good wins at this point..

This is not said in defense of me thinking MP will beat MT because I don't.. I have it 28-13 MT... BUT if MT comes out and is flat or turns the ball over MP does have just enough talent to capitalize and win.. I just don't think it will happen this week

Fan, i agree with you that Mtown should win by at least 21. I think the skepticism comes from Mtown having so many turnovers this season. So in my opinion, the only shot MT P has is if Mtown plays poorly and has turnovers. If Mtown plays well and limits mistakes, they win easily.

I 100% agree with RR though regarding teams that havent played anyone. What team has played a solid schedule, especially in D1. I'm not sure if it was this thread or another but someone was questioning that Wm Penn hasn't played anyone. Who has played anyone? Sallies played a bad OHara team, a bad CR team, gave up 56 to Smyrna, lost to Father Judge, barely beat Mtown and beat an average at best Concord team. You can go down the list of D1 schools and no one has played more than 2 or 3 "tough" games. I went through and looked at games against ranked teams. I think its a little bit of a stretch to say all 10 D1 ranked teams are "tough" but lets just look at it.

Wm Penn 4 games (4-0) against consensus top ten ranked teams (St G, Mtown, Appo & Mt P)
Sallies 3 games - 3-0 (Smyrna, Mtown, Concord) - 4 if we count Judge so 3-1
Smyrna 4 games 3-1 (Appo, Sallies, Howard, Tech) - Howard is a D1 stretch
Mtown 2 games 0-2 (Sallies, Penn)
Mt P 2 games 1-1 (Penn, Concord)
Tech 3 games 2-1 (IR, Central & Smyrna) - IR is a stretch
Central 2 games 1-1 (Tech & Cape) - I hear Queene Anne and Interboro are decent so maybe 4
Cape 2 games 1-1 (IR, Central) - IR?
Dover 2 games 1-1 (Smyrna, Lake) Probably Dunbar and maybe Poly are tough so 3 or 4?
Concord 2 games 0-2 (Mt P, Sallies)
Appo 3 games (0-3) - Smyrna, Concord, WP

Mtown is 0-2 vs Sals and Penn.. The 4 teams MT beat are a combined 5-19

This SHOULD be a good week for D1 competition with #1 playing #7, #2 playing #11, #3 playing #9, #4 playing #5. But i personally don't see any upsets. Honestly don't see any close games. Lets skip this week and bring on Sals and Penn!!!!
