No way techs predictable offense will put 24 on Middletowns defense which only gave up 13 to Penn and 20 to Sallies...which trounced Tech. Techs in for another long night up in Cowbell Country.

I agree with your picks Jeff. I might even add another touchdown or two for Smyrna lol, 42 points just seems low balling for them

HS Fan, I agree MT defense has been the backbone of their success only allowing 88 pnts. MT hard to beat @ home! This class of seniors have only lost 3 games @ home in 4 years! I believe that they are as healthy as they've been all season, Offense seems to be getting on track, especially with Datillo back into line up, only concern is getting Cox back to fortify the middle of the Defense, indication is he is good to go this week! Turnovers and costly penalties the only concern going forward! MT28 -ST 7

Mob- you are probably right. MT is difficult to beat at home, especially in the playoffs. Turnovers will be critical in this one. The boys up front for MT will be too much for ST to handle and will dominate this game (as they did last season). Each team has equally good skill guys on offense but the key to this game is DEFENSE -advantage MT as mentioned in previous post they played #1 & #2 tough on D. MT 27 - ST 6

I agree War, MT can be its own worst enemy, turnovers and penalties and questionable play calling seem to be a constant this season. If they play consistent ball should be a very winnable game, Griffin is a very good RB for Tech I think Blum has the Defense firing on all cylinders this week! They a very strong run defense with the boys up front! Weldon is hands down best NG in the state! If Mt gets past ST should be a very interesting Semi's @ Baynard, MT healthy should make for a very good rematch, still not sure they have enough to beat boys up north.

I really think Woodbridge will beat DMA. May be an upset in terms of seeds but I just think they're the better team in general. Over the past 5 weeks or so, some fire went off with them and they've been rolling. Actually I think all the lower seeds in D2 win except Hodgson.

Jeff- what were/are the reg. season Consensus top 10's ?

I agree with Smack...i think all the D2 games could easily be upsets by the lower seeds except Hodgson/St G and in my book i wouldn't call any of them upsets.

I think Howard is better than TH. Two of Howards losses were against D1 playoff teams (Mt P and Smyrna) and they also lost to a really good St Georges team. Howard does have wins over a couple of decent teams in Hodgson, Glasgow and Archmere. TH got slaughtered by an average DMA team 35-0 and beat what i would call a questionable Friends team. I would have expected TH to crush St Andrews, Conrad and RLCA, but they didn't.

I think Lake is better than Friends, though i'm just not sure about Friends. Lake has wins over some decent teams; St Marks, Wood, Glasgow, Milford and almost beat D1 Dover. But almost all their games were close, even their wins over Laurel and Delmar. If i was being pessimistic, i guess it could be said that Lake's 8-2 record could easily be 4-6 at this point since 4 of their wins were by less than 5 pts. But good teams win close games. As for Friends, if it wasn't for their win over Wood 28-23, i would say Friends was WAY over rated. But Wood's a pretty good team and for Friends to beat them, tells me something. Other than the surprising blowout of a halfway decent St E team, Friends hasn't had much competition.

DMA and Wood is a pretty close matchup i think. Both beat 3 common opponents, Milford, Laurel & Poly. Both crushed Poly, while DMA played better against Milford with Wood playing better against Laurel. Wood's two in state losses were close games against D2 playoff teams Friends & Lake. Friends only loss was to unranked Archmere, who was playing pretty good at year end. I'm leaning towards Wood but if DMA comes out fired up, they could get the win.

St Georges wins relatively easily.

In D1. I think both Smyrna and Mtown win easily. As others have mentioned, i think if Mtown turns the ball over a lot, it could be close

Woodbridge players really do whine. I think if they get down early, they won't come back. I went to two games, both big wins by them where it was never really close, and even so all you could hear from them was constant complaining to the refs. Coaches I never heard anything but coaching.

I don't see Tech stopping Middletown and I really don't see them getting their offense going. It's going to be a rough night for the Ravens.

Frank, I had Woodbridge three times this year. I did find it to be anything like that at all. Different games perhaps? They're a very good football team.

Well you have a handle and Friends was a good pick. Coach will have them ready next week too. Go Brats Go
