I can confirm. No bullshit. Injured against Franklin but kept playing. Not sure how long he will be out though, will need someone closer to the team for that info.

They lose this one with or without him. Not sure how many conference games they win without him. Not sure they beat Sallies without him.

Pickle.....any idea what the injury is? I was told a knee, but then also told a shoulder. So I have no idea what the truth is

If its just an AC joint separation/sprain thats 3 to 5 weeks.. Rotator Cuff tear or dislocation could be much longer. losing to Sals will be no big deal if they win the auto bid for the conference which I still think they can do without him it would just make the conference up for grabs and much tighter. In any case shoulder injuries will nag you all season even just a sprain

Rooster, I had a slight tear in the rotator cuff from weight lifting and it took over a year to heal. Very painful and difficult to lift the arm even to shoulder level.

I feel you Dove I tore both rotator cuffs playing baseball in my 20's and one twice wresting with my son 3 years ago and I still have pain in both.. Can't even play golf anymore

I wouldn't go that far just yet. He won't miss the sallies game, but if by any means the injury is far worse then we hope, and he does miss that game, I don't see him missing playoffs, it's his senior year. I'd be playing through the pain.

If WK is out for a prolonged time does that leave Bam or Fry as the favorites for POY.. I think it leaves Bam as the best RB unless there are others I don't know about

Don't know how true this is...but rumor is that he is playing the weekend....

I wouldn't go that far tough guy lol.. RB or LB is very difficult with a hurt shoulder. Depending on the extent of the injury if playing through the pain or taking a corty shot meant further injuring and jeopardizing my free ride I would sit it out and get any surgery available or if needed and prepare for college.

Damn, it's like Wikileaks up in this 'iotch! If my senior son with college offers was banged up, I would certainly sit him for an OOS match up. There's conference play and ultimately college future to consider. As tough as Knight is, someone must be making him sit, if he does. He would strap up for the team, believing that a sub par Will is still an asset for the team. I don't know the particulars, well maybe a little, but wish him the best. I don't sense any panic in Smyrna about Irvington, Will, or the season.

Give us particulars.

You must be bad at sensing because without Will I would think you'd be able to pick up a sense of panic about Friday's game....to the tune of a 20+ point defeat

If he is hurting at all it would be silly to play him in a basically meaningless OOS game at this point.. Its all about the Hen North now.

As far as Division 1, Thompson from Appo is pretty good and of course Whitehead from MT. The kid from Sallies is trying to make a claim for that honor as well and I heard kid at Sussex Central wasn't that bad either.

Thompson at Appo is very good, their work horse seems to be #8 Thomas. When i went to the game against CR seemed like he had the ball more (also bc teams key on Thompson) Whitehead is a DOG nothing else we can say about him lol

Actually, I'm very good at 'sensing'. What I mean is that no one is Smyrna is too concerned with the Irvington game, one way or the other. They will to their best and move on. No one will be crushed if defeated or do somersaults if they win. Smyrna kids and coaches won't define themselves over this game. If they defeat Smyrna by 20+ points, they know that they would defeat many teams in DE by more. You have to step out of your comfort zone to grow as a program. Putting up 50 burgers every week doesn't challenge a team. The lumps taken along the way may prove valuable in the long run. Only short-sided folks play the schedule so close as to get overly concerned on a weekly basis. This team has challenges like every team. Fake fans need not jump off the Smyrna bandwagon so quickly...we'll be happy to push them off!

Wait a minute, wasn't judge Judy the second coming? whats the problem? At least he won't have to worry about that 2nd place ranking if the back doesn't play

Judy is not going to worry regardless. Even the players worry less then the posters, posers, imposters...I get confused. I remember you punching your ticket all aboard last year. What happened, wagon pass expired?

Eagledown? Was that your safe word when you were at Sallies?
You guys are the best and funny! I didn't go to the School or grow up in Delaware for that matter. I was transferred here from Dallas Texas year before last. Just thought I would pick a team that resembled Americas's Team so I picked Delaware's Team

Hey, when I defended Smyrna after the Middletown game and then after the Franklin game, pickle thought I was mocking the Eagles. Look, they are not be as good as last year but they will win the HN. Then they can beat Middletown.

Two years ago, I said that Smyrna would beat the Slowskys in the title game and I got mocked. Smyrna still has a very good coach, Knight and a scheme that have DE teams struggling.

Do not discount a 3peat!

Eagle Control is abviously a serious Sals fan.
