I can’t help but look at the schedule and see how many awful teams they’re in the state. Wouldn’t pay a nickel to watch most of them. Watered down bad product . Sorry I guess that’s harsh but it’s mostly true .

Blame DIAA and the state for that. It sucks.

I don't know if the DIAA and the State is where the entire problem lies. There are a great many parents pulling their children out of football and I believe this is beginning to have an impact on the overall quality of play. There are teams in D-II with 30 kids or so participating in games.
The DIAA issue is most glaring in how they do the D-I/D-II split. Look at Charter, they have 32 kids listed on their roster. How on this planet should that be considered a D-I team? They have talked about putting these teams that can't compete into D-III for some time now, no championships or anything, just a place where they can go and play a few football games without getting planted. They need to make it happen.

Most interesting game of the week is MT vs Upper Darby. One of the very rare times Mt has to go oos for a game. Upper Darby and the Sals have a long history. UD has a mixed history with some good years and a lot of mediocre years. They used to give Brazil fits (but then, so did everybody). BDN never lost to them. UD might have a pretty good squad this season only losing to Garnet Valley by a TD (GV currently #8 in Inquirer Poll for SE PA. If MT walks into this one expecting an easy W, they might run into a buzz saw. Question is what UD team will show up at game time.

Interesting stuff....dove....I think the Cavs will be OK. The Slowskys put them in a little bit of a stretch last week. They should have taught them something.
