Jeff- is your logic that Clemson is number 1 because they beat the highest rated opponent (ND) of any of the undefeated teams?
Then your logic could be that ND is the best team with 1 defeat because they lost to the highest rated team. (Clemson)
Trying to understand why you have Irish over like TCU, Baylor and Michigan State? ( though I think Irish will end up above at least 2 of these teams if they run the table......Temple, Pitt, and Stanford are in the Top 25. If so, they get into the dance.)

Final Regular Season Records with 2 losses or less???

Clemson 12-0
Baylor 12-0
Ohio State 12-0
Iowa 12-0
Memphis 12-0

Alabama 11-1
Stanford 11-1
Michigan State 11-1
Florida 11-1
Utah 11-1
Houston 11-1
Toledo 11-1
LSU 10-1

Notre Dame 10-2
TCU 10-2
Oklahoma 10-2
Temple 10-2

That was actually harder then I thought...

LOL... Probably got half wrong...

Games this week:

TCU by 11

Mississippi by 5
Penn State by 7
Texas A&M by 12
USC by 4
Florida by 3
Oklahoma State by 3
Notre Dame by 8

Hope the Irish run the table and enough teams get beat to sneak them into the dance.
The league championship games will help the Domers if they can run the table.
