Sure I would..
Why...Do you really believe they would compete? Not a chance. There have been years when top D2 teams could hang with top D1 teams. Not this year. Smyrna and Middletown would be extreme blowouts. Be happy D2 is down this year and you have a shot a a ship. But let's not get crazy.

Is it bc the usual suspects arent at the top anymore?Mainly the northern schools. COME DOWN AND TAKE A LOOK AT THAT WOODBRIDGE DEFENSE! YOU LL FEEL ME THEN. SMY AND MT ARE IMPRESSIVE BUT THEM LIL COUNTRY KIDS FEAR NO ONE. GOONS

I love what Woodbridge is doing but smyrna and Middletown and Concord would tax their asses. All that taxing would make up for what Trump ain't paying. And the rest of the top 4-10 would probably beat them easily.

But I root for them more than anyone besides Smyrna

Too many martinis my friend. Smyrna and Middletown put up 40-60 on Woodbridge. Hold WB to under 14 conservatively. Don't think I'm alone in that thought. It's ok to be a homer. You just look silly.

I think it's assanine to believe they would go 0-5. Smyrna is in its own league, everybody else can be beat. Middletown was supposed to hang a running clock last night, didn't happen, concord hasn't played anyone to prove they are so superior, sallies has 2 losses and after seeing them twice are not very good imo. When you play defense (which Woodbridge does) you always give yourself a chance.

Its not asinine.. The biggest difference between D1 and D2 this year is depth and line size.. The top 5 D1 lines would overwhelm any D2 line this year, Everyone has skill guys to take it to the house when the opportunity is there,,

Woodbridge would go into those match ups already defeated. Those top 5 would win on reputation alone. You see that a lot these days. Equal talent as the opposition but still gets beat because of who they are playing. Woodbridge is good, but it takes a great team to beat those 5 even on their worst years. I might be nice and spot them 14 in some of those games, but they wouldn't be able to stop them from scoring double.

I agree with your Top 10 but I would have St Georges 7th then Cape Henlopen, Sussex Central and Milford....

48 Smyrna vs Woodbridge 21

42 Middletown vs Woodbridge 21

28 Concord vs Woodbridge 21

21 Sallies vs Woodbridge 20

Tonight's Smyrna/Howard game should be a reminder that anybody can have an off night. Thought Smyrna would destroy them, but not so fast my friend..... took some time to pull away. Woodbridge would beat WP through 3 quarters before getting worn down up front by the big bodies, outcome would just depend on how far they went up before then.

Howard is so hard to figure.. They stink in 7on7 they stink in scrimmages, they stink the first couple games of the year.. Then they come alive.. They have athletes and we all talked about the big receiver.. coach just must keep grinding to get these kids to play right I don't know..

RR2, that is a very interesting observation. I personally haven't seen Howard this year, but from your explanation it seems that Howard plays well when it matters. 7 on 7 doesn't matter, scrimmages neither. We all know it's not how you start but how you finish.
It also may be hesitancy early on. Maybe unfamiliar with the playbook, blocking assignments etc. Perhaps it's now coming together and kids are beyond the thinking aspect and now playing at full speed.

that is overthinking it a bit.. its more about getting the kids to focus and buy in.. just takes longer for some kids,, I remember in my coaching days when we played inner city teams.. They had more talent yes but if you had them scheduled early they were a mess .. later in the year though they would beat you.. don't know why that is but it just is

Maybe there are other things that kids are focusing on during the summer. Once the year starts, they place more focus on football.
