Malik has left St. Elizabeths for Advanced Prep in Texas and has reclassified to 2018. Huge blow for StEs title hopes

Almost 100% positive he would of been academically ineligible this coming season. Maybe that was the reason for the move.

Sometimes there comes a time when a kid and his family has to do what's best (what they think is best) for the individual

He's adjusting just fine in the classroom & on the court. Definitely learning & working harder than he ever has on both fronts. He will have a chance to get playing time this year & when you have 5-7 HM & another 3 MM schools in the gym everyday exposure really isn't an issue. FYI...scored 11 of the 2nd groups 15 points during end of practice scrimmage vs starters.

I'm not into the great debate that this board has about whether players should leave or stay in DE. I really don't care. Do what you feel is best for your kid & live with the results. I personally have a great understanding of recruiting as a player, parent & as a coach who deals with it everyday. Kids have been leaving home in every state to play for 20yrs. Their is debates in every state on the topic. Kids leave the WCAC probably one of the toughest leagues in the country, the North Jersey schools have turnover every year. In the end it's a family decision that is made based upon what they feel is best for their kid. My post was to simply update Malik's status.
