Does anyone have any clue what upstate Middle School's have wrestling teams? All we ever really hear about are down state programs? Who are the feeders for the schools up north?

Smyrna lost to postelweight who is undefeated
Gunning Bedford is as usual always solid
Gearge Reed is 9 -1
Ps dupont is winless
Tally is average
it seems like upstate has 1 or 2 decent teams that dominate the rest. Wonder why those top teams don’t head down south for better matches
There are more travel restrictions with middle school than with high school.
Travel restrictions... in Delaware. Any of those teams could drive an hour to Dover, CR, or a tad bit more for lake, Milford etc. We don’t really hear much about middle school wrestling at all on here
I eagerly await your report that you have personally taken an interest in the topic of middle school athletic travel and have contacted the relevant school districts to offer your help to ensure that their athletes get the competition opportunities they need.
If you want to see a good number of future delaware state champions, go to henlopen conference middle school tournament at Milford. Its actually an invitational but some great wrestling
Well just simply using logic... if a team like Dover can travel down to laurel ... then it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that a team from new castle would be allowed drive an hour down south. I couldn’t care less who they wrestle, but it’s crazy when you look at all their schedules and see that 2 teams dominate all the others year after year.
If you go on your schools sports.com website. You can pick wrestling, dropdown middle school and see the results. If you want to which ms feeds which hs it will show that also. Issue in new castle is most kids choice or go private route so unless you are in the know its hard to predict what future teams will look like. Downstate is easier because alot of kids go to home public schools. There is some school choice but you can get a general feel
What about Caravel? How good is their ms? Do they “recruit” wrestlers for their ms team as well?
They are pretty good. Only loss is to HB so far. Won Tiebreaker over Gunning Bedford. They have some good coaches running their middle school program as well.
