Concord erased naearly all of a 16 point Mount lead but ran out out time in a wild game at Concord.

Mount jumped to a 20-10 lead after one, dominated the boards. Early in 2nd quarter they opened the lead to 28-12 and looked like they were going to run Concord out of the the building. But the Raiders hit a couple 3s and upped the defense and got it back to 10 down at the half.

Concord cut 4 points off the lead and trailed by 6 going to the last 8 minutes.

They got it down to 2 but couldn't tie or take the lead. Mount opened it back to 11 at 51-40 with less than 2:00 but Concord had one more run. At 54-48 MP missed second of 2 free throws and Concord hit a three to make it a 3 point game with 11 seconds left.

Concord intercepted the inbound pass and called timeout but then threw inbound pass away to give it back to the Knights. Mount inbounded and was fouled. In double bonus Mount player missed both to set a last second 3 pointer from the corner that hit the side of the backboard.

Great game. Big crowd, loud fans both sides, cheerleader battles (Mount must have 30 on their squad) and a good hot dog.

Final 54-51.

If Ali didn’t go out due to a injury for those crucial minutes I think Mt. probably would of ran them out the gym but I’m going to give Concord some credit they fought hard and there scrappy it was a very entertaining contest

I think he played the whole 2nd half during the comeback. Mount was still dominating the game in the 1st half when he went out. How about Concord made adjustments and went on a run. That’s what good teams do right?

I’m not going to debate with you on that matter if adjustments is what you want to call it so be it bad officiating kept them in the game as well but I don’t want to debate

From what I've seen of Mount, they play hot and cold.

The first 12 minutes they could have stayed with anybody, Then they look like they lose focus, get overconfident? And they don't look that great.

I don't understand why Ali isn't playing the point. Last year she moved him to the off guard but nobody handles the ball as good as him. When he went off (I thought it was something to do with him getting a technical) they looked lost.

They have talent but need to play 32 minutes.

Concord is a scrappy team, saw them almost pull one off on Dover. They have some nice ball handlers and a pretty good shooter I believe #4 or #11
