MT Godwin Announces...

Personally I think he should stay. I say why leave early if you are not a 1st or 2nd round pick? But I'm sure he is getting advice from someone more in the know than me.

I loved watching him play in high school and loved watching him in college. Huge fan of his. But I think he should have stayed. With better qb play he would increase his draft stock significantly and that QB can only get better next year. Not sure why someone would come out when the best he will be is like 4th round if he's lucky based on some of these early projections (Walter football has him at 5-7).

But I'll be rooting for him in the pros and hope he does great

Yeah why risk getting hurt, go grab that money

Even as a 4th rounder he can easily sign a multi year, multi million dollar contract

Most projections have him 5th at best, undrafted at worst. What if he doesn't get drafted at all? Hard to put myself in his shoes but I think he would have benefited by staying

I would be shocked if he doesn't get drafted in the mid rounds.

His stock will never be higher than it is now. He's probably late third, early fourth at the moment. Combine can bump him up a bit.

As an alum I've watched every single PSU game and McSorley sucked for half the year. Assuming mcsorley plays next year like he did the second half of this year, Godwin would have a monster year and I would think his draft stock would be reflective of that

Assuming McSorely plays next year like he did at the end of this year, assuming McSorely stays healthy, assuming Chris stays healthy, assuming there aren't health issues along the O line, etc., is assuming a lot. You can never predict the future, but you can seize the moment.
