Mt Pleasant: Burnett-20, Holland-2, Taylor-7, Backus-2, Caldwell-6, K.Brown-6, J.Brown-6, Shipman-Scott-11, Cramer-2

Newark: Hurlock-2, Sherman-8, Marshall-9, McCants-8, Zegna-1, Drumgo-Sharpe-18

Newark played hard but they're just not good enough to beat this Mt Pleasant team (not that they looked all that great tonight). Ended up being Drumgo-Sharpe trying to do it all and he hit a few shots in a row then couldn't make anything. Horrible shooting from the floor and foul line for Newark. Mt Pleasant was led by their best player Burnett. He sort of cruised to 20 points, I think he was asleep in the first quarter. Had big second half and some nice passes too. It's hard to believe Newark has won 10 games. They are 10-6 now. They finish with Appo, Castle, Glasgow and N. Charter. I'll be generous and give them one win out of those which would put them at 11-9. Good enough to get in?

Anyone know why Myrick isn't playing for Mt Pleasant?

Heard he was late to school.

From what I saw tonight, Mount's depth is really going to be an added bonus come tournament time. Myrick and Kramer being out didn't alter their gameplan too much. Of course it helps when you have one of the best guards in the state turning it on in the 4th quarter the way Burnett did tonight.

Watching Burnett score and throw them beautiful passes it's easy too over look a huge part of mounts success "Shipman Scott" He doesn't get talked about much but that kid commands the offense glass and finishes everything around the rim. If Cramer and Backus can stay outta foul trouble (how they lost too appo) then mount is hard to beat! To beat mount you have to slow the game down and rebound. Which is hard to do because their gritty guards force a lot of turnovers. if you let them make it a track meet they are gonna run you out of the gym And make a highlight tape They are still my pick to win it all complete basketball team

Shipman Scott is like Moses. Brings his lunch box, does the dirty work that often goes unrecognized. He was the co-MVP of that game last night. Not sure I saw a team capable of winning it all, but I haven't been able to get to too many games this year to see other teams. Their game vs Penn will be a good test at this time of the season. I think they might lose that one.

Without Myrick and Cramer your right they don't look like a championship team ... Penn wants the game to be low scoring around 30-35 points you kno 1 of those boring yawning possessions games. If it is that type of game penn wins! I jus don't see it goin that way mounts gonna speed the game up but it should be a nail biter! I like Mount at home 55-49

I like Mt. Pleasant in that game next Tuesday as well. Penn's defense and deliberate style will make it tough to push the tempo, but if they can get Burnett, the Browns and Taylor rollin down hill, Penn won't have an answer for them.
