Mt Pleasant needs a new head coach

Gotta agree, to many substitutions....kid knocked down a big three and was rewarded the next play by being taken out smh, Cramer was killing the boards in the 1 period and she takes him out, the subs made me think of the rec league, everybody gets to play

Coach Lisa is horrible
Actually I think Mount is really overrated, talent-wise. They have no outside shooters and other than Cramer they're not really big. The radio guys said Ali shot 1 for 13 tonight. Ali is a great ball handler and passer, but he often penetrates too far and gets himself stuck. Every time a team loses "the coach doesn't know what he/she is doing" Cape loses a game, Re has got to go. Mount loses, Lisa has to go. Newark loses and McCants doesn't know what he's doing! Sometimes players lose games despite the coaches.

It's the Mt. Pleasant curse, good all year then lose in the playoff. But in all seriousness they were Delaware good, they had enough talent to overwhelm a lot of opponents with fast break points & athleticism but struggled when forced to play half court or against zone. Next year MP fans need to skip the hype to break the curse.

They need to do a better job of recruiting like Stan Waterman does. That guy gets 1 or 2 of the better players every year which has resulted in 5 state titles. Yes, he runs more of a system than Lisa or McCants and has the same set plays for the past 15 years. Which shows you how lazy these other coaches are when it comes to scouting Sanford. There is no magic just get the recruits like Sanford and you'll get 500 wins

She over coaches

Even with Ali shooting poorly they were still up double digits and she started subbing crazy slowing down the pace of game

I wouldn't let my son play for her in high school. She would probably be a great cym or boys/ girls club coach. I understand there's plenty of under qualified coaches in Delaware but she's had the talent for a few years now to be at least be in the finals. I've went to multiple MP game this year and I'm still trying to figure out what she's trying to do coaching. If you gave coach D.Haman, Doody or Waterman her team this year they would still be in the playoffs right now without a doubt!

Substitution patterns and when to/not to call time out are two things that have me consistently shaking my head with lots of DE HS coaches.

lisa cant win the big game. her teams the last 4 years has been good all year and came up short! i will never bet my money with her. she is terrible. why are you slowing the game down with 5 minutes left in the second quarter. she was suppose to keep her foot on the pedal. The AD at mount need to let her go and get a new coach.

Not going to comment on her tactics and strategy because I was not at the game, but I do know that she did a great job building her program. Those kids play hard, they behave well on the court, they respect her and they represent the school really well. Gotta recognize her for that.

When they were up big Ali was not shooting. They were only up big in the first quarter. He didnt shoot 13 shots in the first quarter.

Kudos to St. Georges they were poised and that starts from the two guards and the coach. The only reason I knew Lisa was the coach is because she was standing. One time I saw they were having confusion on who is in the game. The wrong person was subbed out or in.
Reasons why people should question her job status.
1. Did they not prepare for a zone defense? They brought in a freshman who has not suited up all year to stretch the floor.
2. Who is the actual coach? Subbed like crazy for no reason. In the 4th quarter a bench coach took out number 11 and put in number 12, then number 11 and Lisa got upset so they put him rt back in the game.
3. Why did she stop pressing when that was the reason they were ahead.
4. She played 10 kids and should only play 7. Cramer should never come out unless he is in foul trouble or hurt. He is to much of a positive force.
Thats my opinion just from this game.

Honestly can't believe what I am reading... the sexism on this thread and on the Preps in general is absolutely astonishing. She is a female coach. She is trying her hardest. Why can't you guys look past her gender for a second and realize what a beautiful basketball mind Lisa has. Do you honestly expect her to be as good at coaching as a man? Give the woman some credit...

It is amazing how much she has done for the state of Delaware. As a homosexual mother, it is truly awe inspiring to see how she has paved a road for women in delaware.

Y'all outta control. Mount Pleasant played in about five tournament games in the 15 years leading up to her taking over that program and they've been to the Bob three out of her five years there. Not sure what else you want. She runs her program her way and she doesn't have a championship to show for it yet, but how relevant was Mount before she came along?

Coach Lisa is a great coach for Mount. Teaches team basketball, and doing things the right way. The kids at MP leave being more than just athletes. She has turned MP from a joke in the Conference to 3 straight Flight A champs and Overall Champs. Her tourney success shouldn't even be in question. Last two years you are referring to MP ran into Sanford (Eventual Champs) and before that Sallies (Eventual Champs) Yea MP had Burnett and Cramer, but are they really comparable with Mikey Dixon or Donte D? Come on the woman is a great leader and even selected for the Blue/Gold game.
I get it you're upset Mount lost, well a lot of us are but St. George's is on a Mission. They should have won it all last year. Rawls isn't going out like that.

I don't think this years loss or last years loss are because of Coach Lisa. Last year they ran into Dixon and this year into Rawls, two absolute high quality players. Coach Lisa is one of a kind and @hoopcentral12 hit the sack on the nuts when he said the sexism is out of control on this thread. What makes Lisa "Mother Theresa" Sullivan a great coach is she teaches these kids so much more than just basketball, she makes sure they stay out of trouble and gets them prepared for life.

I don't know her or am I familiar with the program but maybe the fact that she's more than just a coach to those kids is as or more important to the school than winning a championship..With parents, social media, etc. being what they are these days anyone putting in the time and effort to coach has my respect, that's for sure.

It's not her fault that:
1. Mount missed at least four chip shots late in the second quarter.
2. Mount's players were consumed by The Fear by the fourth quarter.
3. Other than KVonn's eight layups or dunks, Mount shot 11 for 47.
4. That Mount guard got laughably used by Rawls on an inbound play [where the kid was looking inbound, not at Kyson, who inbounded the ball off the kid's back, and scooted for a fool's-mate layup.]
5. KVonn's touch erodes at logarithmic levels the farther he steps from the basket.
Re: those subs. Four of Mount's starters played 28 minute or more. She kept looking for an answer instead of Cole. [Maybe if Tim Cole had been available.]
Yes, the zone press ended after one quarter and eight St Georges turnovers, but that device works when you have the element of surprise. Reprising it in the third quarter against the best backcourt in the tournament would likely have been no more successful than anything else Mount had done.

Point blank period you can't have an 11 man rotation in the playoffs. all the rest is nonsense. when she figures this out she will win it all. Kramer will be unstoppable and then he's on the bench. Her rotation leads to lack of chemistry at times and doesn't allow kids to get into a groove. Stuff that you can get away with in the regular season always gets exposed and that's what is happening. I think she's doing a great job beyond that. but that is her achilles heel.
