NCAA FB Tourney

Look at this. Kelly the left side of Kelly's Oline had some talent last year and
Delawarean O'Neill is hanging with the big boys.

Dear Mr. Brown:

Please hire Brian Kelly as the next coach of the Bengals. He loved his time as the head FB Coach at the University of Cincinnati a few years back. He would be a great NFL coach.

Sincerely,

Uncle Bumfuzzled

Kelly not calling plays . he hired an OC to do that after last year ..that being said the new guy is calling horrible 3rd down plays and on top of that ND QB is playing scared and like crap.. Not to mention all the replay reversals against ND that were not conclusive in any way, In fact two were very much so and they were critical calls.. Put Wimbush in and get some electric thing going ..something... the current QB is a deer in headlights..JMHO

Correct on all counts. All the real ND fans knew the Irish would get beat. Were hoping for a close game...like 31-24. My beating up of Kelly is even starting to bore me.

I am not going to kill Book for this. I remember back on 1/1/73, Nebraska took ND apart and Tommy Clements looked the same way. The next year ND beat Alabama for the national title. That ain't going to happen because Bama, Georgia, Clemson, and Auburn have this baby sowed up....

Watch Oklahoma beat Bama tonight and I will look like a goofus.

Controlled, I mean this respectfully. What did I see? The same ND Kelly Bowl story except when they play LSU for some reason. I forgive you exuberance because you are an Irish fan..
Yes Kelly certainly does not have the connection with his players as Dabo does with Clemson. As Raven pointed out Book seemed lost and a switch to Winbush might not have been a bad idea. Then again he stated his intention to transfer so unlikely the administration would have encouraged that call.
Jerry Jones was sure happy happying with Dabo.

I think Phil Jurkovec will start for the Irish next year as a red shirt freshman. Look, I firmly believe that the Irish were like a 10 point underdog to Clemson and would be a 14 point underdog to Alabama. I say that in a good way. I think they could be that good but they didn't show it last night.

The Irish just stunk it up last night.

Next year, they have to play at Georgia and at Michigan and host SoCal and Stanford. If they lose just one game they have a shot at the tourney.

What scares me is that Ohio State got a black eye with that 31-0 loss in the tournament to Clemson a couple years ago...that could happen to the Irish.

It seems to me that BK is just not a big game coach,
