Today's NJ has a story on expanding enrollment in the MT Odessa area with preliminary studies indicating the need for a new high school. When Appo was built, it was a circus drawing up the enrollment boundaries. Fear not, MT got the football players and Appo got the soccer players.

I heard its going to be called Odessa Christian Academy, football players only! Mascot the "Fighting Emu's"!

I've been out of the area for a while, but I do recall a thread about this a few years ago. There is definitely a elementary school already built on what was planned to be a full campus. ELEM, MS, & HIGH by a certain year 2017/2018? Believe early thread thought the Odessa Ducks would be a legitimate contender for mascot. Seems like the talent will be spread thinner eventually. Three high schools, one district, tough to get dominance. Just my opinion.

Yeah.. I remember the thread we made jokes that instead of cowbells they would have duck calls.. Imagine the racket when MT plays Odessa haha
Middletown is expanding and growing so much that it's probably a foregone conclusion that another high school is coming. I remember as a teenager riding through there and feeling like it was the most boring place in the world. Now it's booming from all sides.
