New Rankings: 2 Delaware RBs Get National Ranking

Looking on Rivals National Rankings today, and was happy to see that Delaware has 2 class of 2018 student/athletes listed in the National Rankings TOP 20. Its hard to be recognized at RB, because of how analyst score and rank the position. Its an ever BIGGER deal for Delaware to have not 1, but 2 RBs recognized, especially for such a small state.

Avery Roberts c/o 2017 LB committed to Nebraska. Graham"Bam" Roberts c/o 2018 RB is his brother. He has not commited anywhere, as far as I know.

Didn't know 247 released their rankings also. These are still great rankings for these two. They are ranked High 3 stars and still in the top best for their positions. This is good news and recognition for Delaware athletes.

No love for Knight? Interesting. Put him on that Concord team and let him play all game as opposed to sharing carries/targets with Brown AND not seeing the field in the second half most the time and he would probably have 2k yards by now.

No hate on the Concord kid, he looks bad from some of the highlights. I think he's benefitted from having his brother recruited by big schools and he's being recognized, hopefully same thing happens with knight because of Browns attention

Just an FYI Roberts hasn't played in the second half since the Caravel games first series of the second half. Last night he only played the first quarter.

Well you said he plays the "whole" game. He has had very few carries in the second half. He is very good and actually being recruited to play defense not offense in college. Looking forward to seeing next weeks game with Salies cause the team that can run the ball will win and the Concord defense is really good against the run. They can be thrown on but they give up nothing on the ground, mostly because of the the other Roberts.

I agree he looks like a great player. I wasn't throwing shade on him but saying that hopefully Knight is benefitted by the attention Brown gets from colleges like young Roberts has had exposure due to his big brother.

Its partially true. He has played two full games. Caravel and Appo. I was at the Caravel game and there when he only played one half in the A.I. game, and heard he only played the first half of Mount. I also heard last night he scored twice in the first 2 minutes of the Newark game, then went out in the 1st quarter for a medical reason. These next two weeks are important to Concord. If for some reason Bam Roberts isn't playing, it changes my thoughts on the outcome of the Sallies game.

Also, I'm sure Knight will start picking up some offers in the offseason. I don't believe the young Roberts recognition comes from his brothers fame. He is a good player in his own right. It doesn't hurt having a player on your team that is a high 4 star and top in their position either, and that goes for all Concord players and whoever they are playing that week. If there is a scout in the stands, that's an opportunity for everyone. Most rankings come from camp performance against other top players, THEN they look at the film to evaluate you if they feel you are worth even evaluating.

Not related, but I am a fan! Just always giving credit where credit is due. Both of my boys graduated from A.I., but their connection with some current players who train with Stay Real and Damon Daniels/Team Delaware have kept me interested in HS football.
