Glasgow: Fuller-11, Johnson-13, Maple-2, Earl-8, Truesdale-3, Wilson-2, Hamilton-2

Crazy game. Newark trailed 18-9 at the half. Newark couldn't make anything in the first half, but Glasgow failed to put them away, and it cost them because Newark outscored Glasgow 18-6 in the third quarter. Newark got the lead up to ten in the 4th quarter, but poor foul shooting and some very bad turnovers late in the game by one of the Newark guards made it close. Eric Marshall had some clutch free throws and a huge block at crunch time. Zegna had some good minutes off the bench. I'm looking forward to seeing Drumgo-Sharpe's final two seasons. Very talented. No one really stood out for Glasgow. I was interested in seeing Devon Earl, but even though he had 8 points, he wasn't much a factor in the game at all.

Newark finishes the season at 12-8. I don't know if that will be good enough. After starting the season 8-0, they've not been a good team. It would probably be in the best interest of the tourney if they weren't a part of it.

Glasgow might've played themselves out of the tourney with this loss and Newark might've played themselves in with the win. We'll have to see what happens when the brackets come out late next week.

Newark had a good game plan for Glasgow and Glasgow let the game getaway. I just registered but I am a fan of the board but I see a lot of games. I hear 8yaz and others talk bad about newark and AI but it is hard for public school to really good get player and kids these days. So I applaud Glasgow, AI and Newark if they get in the tournament. Looks like ghigh and Newark has 11th and 10th graders so good seasons for them. 8yaz said Newark should not get in but my question is...... You would like tatnall, caraval and a school like st Andrew to get over those public schools cause they are all on the bubble according to the refs and white guy I sat next to last night?

I was at the game last night , seem to be as if Devon Earl had a bad game because the other games I've been to he has had 20+ but overall Newark played better team ball and jump on them second half . Glasgow should secure playoffs Tuesday against Christiana and Newark might of made there way in the playoffs

Devon Earl did not play well as well as my nephew. It was a great game. I feel like Newark pull up an upset. Glasgow is the better team but their leaders did not play to their potential. Glasgow still remain a very good team. They are really young with losing only two seniors that contribute...most of the core guys are coming back...
I hear that if they win next win, they should get in the tourney. That's not bad, I think they only won 3 games last year. The kid Devon Earl was off but he will show up next week, I'm sure

I guess you can say it was upset. Glasgow had their senior night game where they introduced seniors from every sport lol. I never seen that before and they had a DJ. I no your nephew is on ghigh and y'all like earl but Glasgow is not better than Newark. Ghigh has a new PG and new coach and u guys are going overboard. PG from Newark Sherman was an all flight A 2nd team guy last year I think. Sharpe kid is better than all of Glasgow guards. Sharpe plays in a system with other ok players. Sharpe would average 20 + if McCants let him. Lil McCants is like a pure pg that plays good defense and runs their team. He played bad also. Newark bigs are better then Glasgow bigs and McCants is a better coach than ghigh coach. Both teams were young. Just my opinion tho. I want both teams to make it and upset a team in the tournament. Imma a public school guy lol

What makes Sharpe better then Devon Earl ? Because if you have watch more than one game from Devon Earl you would see he is a pure point guard who can score , averages 17 and the kid plays defense !! With his team not having much around him it forces him to have to score . Sharpe just plays in the system and that's how he scores mainly . He isn't a killer 3 point shooter and has several games where he score 4 here and 6 some games so I'm just curious what makes him better ?

I thought is was nice that they recognized the cheerleading team, basketball team and I think it was indoor track. I never seen indoor track being recognized at a basketball game but I thought it was cool. As far as Newark being a better team, I respect your opinion but I think Glasgow is better. Many of their main guy did not play well. You know Newark better than I do, I am sure. I'm new to the state.
As far as better coach, I don't know. You may know better than me. The Glasgow Coach is a good coach that I know. The Newark Coach seemed really good as well. I found out that it was a district game. So yes, I hope they both make it to the playoffs.
Last, Devon Earl is a two way player. He just had a bad game.

I like Earl and seen him more than once against Howard (fat cat) was best pg that day and against Delcastle better guard competition. Two loses. He averages 17 but he seems to score off fast break lay ups and off steals. I think Sharpe has more 3 pointers and can shoot better. Think Earl is a better pg then sharpe but not overall player. Sharpe had games of 32, 26 and 18 vs mt p a game I saw him rip off 2 or 3 three pointers back to back on Burnett and then Burnett woke up to dominate the 4 the quarter. Sharpe is Newark leading scorer and is crazy athlete. Sharpe defense against ghigh was noticeable. I heard Sharpe was best of them all in 9th grade. Ask his middle school coach. Earl, Holmes, McCants and Earl were all at Newark. Earl never played or I never seen him play. Sharpe was best in 9th and only played half of last year. Again I like Earl but teams are starting to scout him and figure out his game. Think they have a future if they keep working in class and on court. D2 or D3 level

Earl has had 26 , 26 , 27 , 22 point games , 22 on mount and btw he had no fast breaks against mount and has scored the most points on mount this year then any other player they have played this year and he also had back to back 3s that game on Burnett/Myrick. After those 3 games you stated about sharpe he had a lot of single digit games also you have not to mention Even thou this is his first season I wouldn't be to surprise if he has more Varisty points then sharpe , Kids already at 300 in one season but I understand where you coming from , there both great guards and should be top guards next year during there senior year . Hope both teams make the tournament

Congrats to Earl on his 300 in a season and them winning 10 games this season. I'm not counting up sharpe total points or comparing who has the most 3s. Not that serious to me. They are not great guards in DE bball. They are good. Sharpe had some single digits but their roles and systems are different. Not all about points all the time tho.

The question is take both of this players out. Which team would be hurt the most.... that way you would know who is the most valuable. Earl has made his teammates better.
