Nah'shon Hyland ended the 1st half of the season averaging exactly 29ppg.

Wow!

Its one thing to be a threat to hit for 30 (occasionally),but to be a practical lock, thats just different....
Gets me to pondering, who else (i can remember) has avg 30+ ppg?

Polk (Tech)
Witherspoon (CR)
English (Appo)
Carter (Tatnall)
Parker (Caravel)
Hawkins (Howard)

Im sure there's atleast a few more.

Pretty impressive company!

I saw Carlos up close at Howard - he literally could get his whenever he wanted. Polk was an incredible physical specimen who could score as well. Going back a little further, I think Dexter Boney averaged 30 one of those years he was first team all state.

Take you way back. John Bishop and Purnel Ayers.. Cape in 1975 and 1976. Both played on the same team and averaged over 30ppg... Nice trivia question... Lol

Hands down, best player in the state of Delaware.

Can’t argue...Bones is a great player and was born to score. But what criteria are you using for best player? Points, potential, wins, chips, all around player (defense too), etc. If it’s offers and potential “hands down” it’s Davis. Bones will get his no doubt and will play at the D1 level but I think a closer statement would be “best scorer” but again look at who he plays with and who he plays against. 6 of St. G’s 9 opponents so far - RLCA, Delmarva Christian, Appo, St. Thomas More and Stephen Decatur are not very good teams. My bet is Davis, Parker, Matthews, Robertson would do the same ppg playing at St. G. Sanford, Smyrna, Cape all have multiple guys scoring in double figures so you don’t need one guy to go for 30 to hopefully win a game vs a decent team. If Hyland doesn’t it’s a L more times than not! Great player, great scorer but best player “handsdown” is up for debate.

Can’t argue this. Right now, he’s the guy I’d want in a win or go home situation. Over the long haul, it’s Davis.

I think Bones is a mid-major guy and Davis is obviously high major.

I think he’d be a great get for Inglesby and UD. Side note, he’s doing an awesome job up there IMO. Anybody get eyes on the kid from Roselle Catholic who is heading the UD next year? Looks like an impact guy in CAA.
