St Aquinas 9 St John Bosco 3 in Overtime... Was a defensive battle for the ages..I have never seen two high powered spread offenses get shut down like that.Goes to show it can be done. Must be nice to have a hall of famer(Jason Taylor) and former all-pro (Sam Madison) as your defensive line and defensive backs coach. Certainly helps in recruiting the Miami area kids to come to Aquinas and play lol

Bishop Gordons 55 game winning streak snapped last night with a 35-21 loss to Mater Dei (CA)

The game was scheduled to be played at the Jersey shore. The field was ruled unplayable due to heavy rain.

RR- how do the out of state games work in terms of points? I'm axing because smyrna has a couple tough out of state games and I was thinking that if they lose them and theoretically lose one other in state game they could be out of the playoffs, right? Or do they get more points for them out of state shits, even if they are losses?

Same points. the enrollment of the school when the contract was signed will determine if its D1 or D2 points the cut off for D2 is less than 1119 students (single gender schools the enrollment would be doubled)

Do we know yet what Irvington and Franklin are D1 orD2? I read something that they both were close to if not over/under the D1 enrollment line

Teams have until 9/30 to get the information for the OOS schools over to DIAA then the guy from DIAA will contact the schools to vette the enrollment numbers.. We probably won't know those "officially" until the seeding comes out. I believe last year there was a poster on here doing the points and he was able to get the info. Jim Comegys is the guy doing the numbers this year for DIAA If anyone knows him you can get the numbers lol

Theoretically- smyrna loses to both out of state teams and loses to one in state D1 team. Would they still make the playoffs based off historical point averages?

Hypothetically, IF that were to happen. Smyrna loses those two OOS and one instate game, I still see them getting in because of their schedule strength and bonus points they will receive. But I don't see them losing 3, 1 game possibly, maximum 2, but even saying that is a stretch.

I think Middletown might be trouble. That Fry dude can throw and Will can only do so much.

Last year showed that all you need is Will. There hasn't been a team to stop the earthquake formation. He gets 4-5 yards a pop.

Just saw the news journal capsules on football. They're saying Middletown returns everyone, I thought Middletown fans on here have been saying they lost a lot.

Also said Woodbridges enrollment spiked after winning last year. Weird how that happens. They're are going to spank asses this year

I'm not sure who said Mtown lost a lot, but to name some for starters, Anthony Delpercio (WR), Caleb Weatherford (DL), Spencer Herbert (LB), Shane Wilkins (WR/S), and Jalen Whitehead (WR/DB).

Those I believe were starters. I may have missed one, but that still is not many. Smyrna is in the same boat, they didn't lose many either, yeah Brown transferred, Nolan, and the one that transferred to Sallies, so it wouldn't surprise me if it's these two yet again in December.
