Franklin upset Linganore in the 3A championship 17-14

Good for Franklin after having their SR starting QB poached just days before their first game this year by St Frances they go on to win it all. good stuff...

sad stuff for the QB who left after getting to SFA MIAA ruled he could not play this year because you cant participate with two teams in the same season and said QB practiced and played in scrimmages for Franklin per MIAA rule that is participating..

Sure SFA could have played him anyway being they werent playing MIAA teams this year anyway but if they did they would have been stripped of their MIAA paper championship MIAA gave them when the other MIAA teams refused to play them and thus would not be eligible for the GEICO Bowl Games.. Poor kid loses SR yr eligibility chasing some carrot.. blame goes to parents as well as the knuckled heads at SFA who either dont know the rules or think the rules dont apply to them. I guess the stupid GEICO games were more important to SFA than this kid..shameful

Friday, 11/30@ 7:30 PM -- Class 4A: #2 Quince Orchard (V) vs. #1 North Point (H).
Saturday, 12/1 @ 3:30 PM -- Class 1A: #4 Frederick Douglass-PG (V) vs. #2 Fort Hill (H).
Saturday, 12/1 @ 7 PM -- Class 2A: #2 Oakdale (V) vs. #1 Glenelg (H).
 
Great game so far both teams wells coached with great players.. Two different styles tempo spread vs old school smash mouth.. North Point QB is very impressive running the spread and they have thrown in some plays I havent seen before. Young very imaginative coach.. Quince Orchard good as well running Winged T, Double Wing and I .. QB very good with the ball and fakes as well also throws well on the PA roll outs... Fun game with two very good but different teams.. 13-6 North Point after 1

Just some recent history This is Quince Orchard's third trip to the ship in a row .. They lost the first 2 to Wise whom they slayed that dragon in the semi's this year ..Hate to see a team lose three in a row but North Point is a very good team.. gonna be a great game going forward
 
NP center has the yips snapping the ball all over the place messing up timing of O..fumble return for td for QO ... 33-13 QO
 
Marquez Cooper RB for QO if lucky is 5'5 I think less.. but is built..Think Maurice Jones-Drew,, kid is a work horse might have had 40 carries tonight. Everyone in the building knew he was getting the ball every play this last drive and NP just could not stop him.. ate up most the last 5:47 and a TD 40-26 QO 1:30 left..

Asa Williams QB of NP is a hell of a player as well comes back and scores.. onside kick and a miracle needed but they have a shot


3rd times a charm for QO.. 40-33 final
 
Fort Hill wins 5th state title in six years. 20-8 over Douglass PG. Great old fashioned football by both teams
