Anyone looking for an interesting match up Dundalk is facing Demascus in a MD 3A State Championship on NFHS

This game is very similar to the Sals vs Smyrna game in schemes.. Damascus is up 14-0 after two fumbles but Dundalk is driving.. Damascus has a RB very similar to Sals Reeder he has 52 TD's on the year... Dundalk plays Smyrnas O.. As a side note Dundalk Owls have the same helmet design as Smyrna and Damascus UNIS and colors mimic the Green Bay Packers.. New school vs old school match-up.. This is Dundalks first championship game Damascus has been in many.. another note Damascus is covering Dundalks O correctly IMO

Dundalk has a dynamic QB (Sample) who is a true dual threat but the only critic is he can hold onto the ball too long and relies on his feet to get him out of trouble.. Too this point in the game Damascus has contained him

Nope Jake Funk is the man.. Pryor may be another they have 3 in their O..If they mention him I will let you know but Funk is the BMOC.... probably the OPOY for MDHSFB this year

I am watching this game because I wanted to see Funk and Sample play.. Funk is commited to UMD

Jake Funk show... 4th TD on the night... This dude is ridiculous... 27-8 Damascus... Dundalk not close to being disciplined enough for this game.. as I say that Dundalk fumbles the ensuing kick return...

Funk catches a TD pass # 6 still first half.. 41-8 DMASS DMAS making a serious bid for #1 in MD over DeMatha and Gilman... They are a very well coached team.. They may not have all the rivals star kids but they play good ball.. probably won't because they don't have the OOS schedule but they play great team ball and very disciplined as well as has the best RB in the state
