Word is Logan Holgorsen (yes WVU HC's son) is transferring from Morgantown HS to St Frances... this is interesting in that the top prospect from Richmond VA with Bama offers transferred there already.. Looks like a QB controversy to me... that is the risk you run over there those guys don't stop recruiting and will recruit right over you.. Any chance Holgorsen sits? lol

Does St. Frances reclassify some of its players? If so that would make sense. Holgorsen doesn't have any offers yet so playing on national stage would assist.

Sometimes they do but they cant turn 19 before Aug 1st and they can only play for 4 years but that 4 years does not have to be consecutive.. For example if Hogorsen has played 2 and re classes to 2020 he would have to sit one year of the three years.. Currently St Frances is under MIAA rules but it wouldn't surprise me if they went Indy soon.

Holgorsen is committed to WVU (not on scholly by virtue of Dad being the HC so he wouldn't pay anyway)but there are rumors in Morgantown his Dad may be on his way out so that could explain things..

RR I like how you are beginning to post the HUDL rosters regarding transfers and things....LOL

Well if they are updated? ... that was posted on a Baltimore forum just copied it here but with SFA the roster will be different when school starts as some of those kids won't actually pull the trigger and transfer there. Last summer they had 2 kids from Riverside Baptist listed but when school started they ended up staying at Riverside along with several other kids who ended up staying put

Oh I understand but as I mentioned before a coach will add a kid he has knowledge is attending the school because the kid will need to learn the playbook and when the coach finds out they are leaving or in the example you gave backed out they will disable the kids access to their playbook which will remove them from the roster. No speculation adds him generally someone from the school told him the kid was in good standing.

But on a different note. Did you guys see Chris Cropper on the roster. (RB/TE/OLB)? Hope he does will but that doesn't look promising. He may be like the Riverside Baptist examples you gave.

I have no idea what they are going to do with Cropper..neither do my MD guys as no one knows who he is.. SFA updates the roster in the summer as a recruiting tool.. Most coaches don't update the roster until their roster is set for the year. I don't know of any DE teams that do. I believe you said before Middletown does but I looked and they still have last years roster on there. Most coaches don't want to put out there what they have or have coming until they have too submit a roster. They try and keep their transfers under wraps for as long as they can

I concur its a real possibility once Cropper sees what he is up against he may come home if he is eligible to play here.. you never know.. I mean who wants to go to that school and live in a row home in the ghetto and not play?

I think Cropper will either be at another MD school or back in DE not St. Frances start of preseason. If he does stay I hope he balls out on limited touches because I don't see him as a TE or OLB.

As far as the updated rosters I thought you got it but I see you don't. With hudl coaches have no choice of updating rosters its automatic. As soon as you enable a player to access your team info your roster updates. The coaches choose when they flip from one years schedule to the next. Like your example with Mtown, Blum as not changed to 2017-18 so it is still showing 2016-17 but if you look at the roster Esias Gutherie is on there as a Soph. He played at AI but he is showing on Mtown 2016-17 reason being Mtown enabled his hudl account and they haven't updated their schedule.

The only way they can hide a transfer as you say is to not give him is own access to their playbook which wouldn't happen because they need the player to learn it or make your team account private which a lot of coaches won't do because colleges coaches wouldn't be able to freely view kids highlights.

I see what your saying VOR.. I didn't know about the playbook thing.. when I used to use hudl people weren't putting their playbook on there at least that I knew of

As a follow up. Logan and Jalon alternated series in the scrimmage game vs Dematha. Word is Logan out played Jalon. def qb controversy brewing.

Yeah I honestly thought from the start that based off the tape between the two that Holgeson was the better "QB" in that he was a better passer and had some elusiveness opposed to a pretty good passer with very good speed and run ability.

The fact that SFA had line troubles i guess the more polished QB would be able to have sucess

No doubt Holgorsen has had better training and resources than the kid from Richmond.

I was at the game and Jalon (Richmond, VA) outplayed the kid Logan WV by a mile (with the same starting OL and skilled players). Jalon was able to make plays when the pocket collapsed and the other kid was taking sacks left and right. They both throw a very nice ball but Jalon's athleticism is way above the kid Logan (WV). It's not even close....... Also, Jalon is at least 4-5in taller than Logan.
On a side note, STF defensive front and LB's are incredible!!! Their secondary needs some serious work though. They only gave up 2 plays vs DeMatha and both went for TD's. One was a clear miscommunication and the other the safety just got beat on another long one. It was 17-14 DM going into halftime and NO starters played the second half.

Fields started for STF at WR (couple catches)
Cropper started for STF at OLB (few tackles)
M. Lloyd started for DM at RB (bunch of carries but for the most part couldn't get past the LOS due to STF defense).

Thanks for the recap swagdog. Its funny how different people see things different. I'll trust your take though you have always been pretty on point

From DeMatha and WCAC fans as well as SFA haters also with your assessment there is a consensus that the SFA linebackers are phenomenal

Did the freshman #44 Willis (VA kid) play and if so how did he look. Supposed to be one of the top kids in the country in his class and a real thumper at LB

Just read Holgorsen has left FCA and back at Morgantown HS.. can't say I am surprised by this.. It was more surprising when he transferred to SFA to begin with
