Penn holds off the Sals

Wm Penn had a 16 point early in the 3rd quarter. Sals got it to 8 starting the 4th then made a big run to tie the game in the last minute. Sals had a shot to win it in last 5 seconds. Shot missed and they fouled on the rebound. Penn gets one of two on the line and wins it 63-62.

Penn was better team most of the game. The guard #5 De Jesus had about 20 points. Caulk probably the same for the Sals.

Looked like Penn tried to slow it down and run clock early in the 4th. I think that cost them momentum. Sals didn’t give up. They may surprise this year.

Anyway great opener for both teams.

That was a marvelous game last night - well played on both sides, tremendous atmosphere, felt like a state tournament game. Penn is really long and can beat you inside and outside - you can pretty much say the same for Sallies. Would love for these teams to run it back in March.
