This might not be news to some, but I heard from a reliable source that Smyrnas Nolan Henderson and Middletowns Drew Fry both attended the Peyton Manning QB camp in Tennessee earlier this summer.

Do you need to be invited to this or is it something where anyone can attend? Has any other Delaware QB attended this camp? It featured players like Johnny Manziel, Mariota, Winston, Cody Kesler, and some current star QBs on college teams

Weird because the camp that featured the players you stated is usually held in New Orleans, are you sure they are the same ? Because I beleive that one can be attended by anyone but cost thousands.

Maybe the one in Tennessee is a different one ?

Sorry, it may have been in New Orleans, I was always under the impression it was held in Tennessee. I can find out. But, I was told specifically "Peyton Manning Camp"

I figured it was a lot of money, the name alone is worth a lot of money.

Yeah the big one is called "the manning passing academy" held for a week in New Orleans, councelors are usually top NFL and College QBs.

It's open to anyone who wants to pay the $685 to attend.

the air fare/travel the hotel expenses as well... I dont know much about Fry but Henderson is what he is a FCS prospect at best.. A Manning camp isnt going to change the fact he is 5'11 and 165ish..

Maybe he wanted to go and experience something cool and his parents were probably happy to send him. Maybe he did well there too. Not the biggest waste of money as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure you sent your kid, who could have been about as useless as teets on a warthog on the football field for all I know, to a number of camps and did that change anything???

And obviously I don't know you or your kid but I'm making a point because I'm sooooooooooo sure if anyone said anything close to that about your kid you would have screamed and cried.

I don't even know who he or his kid are. I'm just making an assumption and also a point. If he wants to talk trash on some kid for going to a camp and how that "won't change who he is" then he might as well expect some coming back his way.

That's what tires me out about this site. These old dudes talking all this crap about kids disguised as "football talk."

This kid isn't a "prospect", "this camp won't change the fact he's borderline d1aa at best", "this kid is good but won't pay attention in school" and this and that and so on and so forth without really knowing anything at all.

So when that happens I give lessons to people. And I really feel in my heart that it's helping them. I really do.

Maybe. Like I said I don't know who either of them are. But since you're a vet of this board (aka loser), if someone had said Lil Jimmy (rr's son) shouldn't have bothered going to a camp because he's borderline whatever and a camp won't change that....how do you think he would have reacted? Seriously answer that question for me.

it's just talk.. when you grow up, you will understand!
you can call me what you like, I know deep down I could squash you like a bug... if indoubt, leave me your contact info and I'll invite you ( and your friends) to some male bonding...

And how do you think that kid (or parents) feels when he looks on here and sees some post about him doing something that he's probably proud of and some old hater immediately says how what his parents paid for the camp doesn't include airfare and accomadations and how it won't change the fact that he's a borderline 1aa prospect who's too this or too that. Come on now. I know you two are butt buddies but that's not right

haha
you are a goofy little f**k..and I kinda like that..
do you play any sports?
answer that and I'll see what kinda guy I'm talking to..

You're right CowTown...on both counts...the kid and parent are reading it, and entertained to say the least. As I do whenever I feel the need to post on here, I make my identity known as Nolan's father. It's a shame that I can't just send my son to something that I believe would be an awesome experience for him as a reward for all of his hard work, and not have some hidden recruiting agenda. He got to hang with Peyton and Eli, as well as DeShaun Watson, Baker Mayfield, and Trevor Knight. Maybe someone on here has a camp that'll add a few inches in height and change "who he is." Maybe they should send their son(s) there because I'm fine with who mine is(he's actually 6'0" btw) and I'm more than fine with the fact that he's ONLY a FCS QB prospect, and has the opportunities he has because of the hard work he's put in and continues to put in. It's kinda sad though that a post about his commitment to be a Blue Hen last week receives 4 entries while his attendance to the Manning Passing Academy is four times as popular. Thanks for the added motivation though...I enjoy that smirkful look on his face when he reads this stuff.

My kid went down to Fort Meyers to play in a Perfect Game Tournament. What a great experience, as I'm sure this was for your son to go there. Better use of money than skim boarding in Dewey for a week....

Anytime you can do anything that helps one of your kids you should do it if you can afford it. Best of luck to the young man.

He was listed on their Hudl roster as recently as 2 weeks ago.. He is not on it now.. but as I alluded to earlier he may have eligibility issues in DE as well as its my understanding he was in St Georges as a special ed/needs student.. Under DIAA rules all such designated students are eligible to participate in athletics,, Its a common way techs and charters get kids in and keep them on the field..Some privates also if they have a program.. Red Lion used to do it as well during "that time" Definitely not hating on the kid or those that truly have a learning disorder , he very may well have, but schools abusing the system for athletic gain is abhorable.. Which is why I think as much as his Mom shopped him around like she has some winning lottery ticket he will be back at ST G under the same program and its probably the best thing for him IMHO

Maybe and then maybe not...but when lilrooster gets back home he will see these posts and I have access from whence they came .. Good luck lil Buddy

DeNative let me get myself clear,, I have zero issue with your Son or what you feel you need to do. I give a honest opinion of what I see,,Thats it... Not that I am any kind of expert because I am just a guy with an opinion on forum.

Denative.... I'm sure your proud of Nolan. He's an incredible athlete. And deserves everything he has coming to him. UD is a great school.

I actually have a question for you that I'd rather not make public. Heard a rumor that I'm not sure is true or not, and would love to hear your opinion on the matter that relates to your son. A conversation for later, if you're at the Mtown scrimmage I would like to meet up and chit chat for a bit. Or you can always get in contact by me through phone...3023735987

Throughout the season I always send updates of scores out so anyone interested in them please save the number and text me your username so I can add to my list of scoring updates

RR..maybe I was being overly sensitive, which I can assure you is rarely the case, but you seemed to insinuate that he is an undersized I-AA QB prospect, and that sending him to the Manning Passing Academy would not change that.

And I was being overly cynical about today's parents and how they view their kids,, You obviously have perspective. I very much enjoy watching your son play ..my bad... D1, 2 or 3 it doesnt really matter as long as he is happy and getting a real education

Maybe and then maybe not...but when lilrooster gets back home he will see these posts and I have access from whence they came .. Good luck lil Buddy

Wrong assumption..I am willing to accept any criticism of my kid.. Particularity if he puts himslef in the line of fire by attending these camps.. I've heard it all.. as Nolan's dad says you laugh at it and go on.. Its not a big deal.. Right now my Son is in a program where he is told he is the biggest piece of crap on the planet and being pushed to his limits mentaly and physically.. Yeah I get it is a vetting process and so does he but I don't like it. but It's not like I am going to go to the drill instructors and say hey.. Thats my Son he is a good boy back off lol
