Did everyone see how they voted to change the 3A playoff from 12 teams to 8 teams?

if you didn’t see it the way it works now is the top 3 teams in each district are automatically in the playoffs and then there are 2 At Large bids.

The District winners of each will be Seeds 1-2 no matter what and seedings will be selected by playoff points.

what’s everyone’s thoughts on this layout now?

Eliminates the 0-10 and 1-9 teams from playoffs and reduces playoffs by 1 weeek. Sounds good to me

I think D2 should go to 8 teams as well. Top 2 from each district plus two at large. Eliminates a week plus no byes. And each division would be 8 teams.

Not going to happen for 2022 probably 2023 due to games already scheduled

Even with games scheduled you could still change the amount of teams making playoffs, but I agree probably wouldn't happen until the following year.

They conclude no changes to 2A for this year

Not every team should make the playoffs anyway that was always stupid. Just created blowouts.

More competitive imo so okay with 12
