Every year/Every season/Everyone seems to have a take on how to improve the playoff team selections.Division 2 now has 8 so for this discussion I will use Division 1 as an example as I do not believe taking 8 teams is on the horizon. However, if 8 teams did go that would go a long way. I am neutral on taking 8-no matter to me.....hell more football to watch!
I am going to present this in its simplest form with 2 choices working on same premise and would like to hear your thoughts on this possibility without all of us trying to reinvent the wheel.

Option 1
Flight A and Henlopen North get auto bids but are seeded by points.
Teams #3-4-5 are points based/seeded accordingly etc.
# 6 team is voted in by a selection committee.
Option 2
No auto bids
Teams 1 thru 4 based on points/seeded accordingly
Teams 5 and 6 are voted in by a selection committee.
As of now the team that will not be there but are ranked by the NJ and Coaches as one of the top 6 in the State would be Salesianum. By seasons end that could change but you cannot convince me that a 7-3 (if win out) or a 6-4 (loss to MT) Sals squad does not belong in there. The NJ has them at #4 and Coaches at #5.
Say they go 7-3 (sorry Cavs)....their in state losses to WP and St Marks and 3rd loss to Poly Prep who would beat any team in Delaware. Explain to me in your best unbiased opinion how they should not get in?
Say they lose to the Cavs and go 6-4, are they still not one of the top 6 teams in De????
Most importantly-let us know which of the 2 options above that you would like to see go into place. If you do not like either-that's ok too-please explain why.
