Anybody know of any games that are going to be rescheduled due to the weather?
(Like could some Friday night games be moved to Saturday?)

Its not about playing in the rain its about field conditions..If its too sloppy its dangerous for the players and also tears up the field for the rest of the season.. all the turf games will play as long as there isn't standing water on the fieldLast word was Poly vs Cape is now being played at Cape because of better field conditions on their turf, but nothing else as of yet. Hope there aren't changes - is always beyond me why anyone thinks a little rain should stop a football game. Just makes things more interesting.
lol how does that work? I understand Milford getting a forfeit for St Andrews bailing on a contracted game but Seaford shouldn't be a able to get a win... A team cant forfeit and lose in the same week.. Silly St Andrews bailing on Milford to get clown stomped by Seaford.. Hell if I am going to get stomped I would much rather it be at the hands of Milford than lowly Seaford lolOn a side note, looks like Milford took the forfeit last week. Tough weekend for St. Andrews, dropped two games.
the difference is back in My day, not sure how old you are, but to tear up a field was ok because it was just a grass field no big deal.. not when schools spend $800K-$ 1Mill on a field today. That Bermuda grass that a lot of schools have now looks nice but doesn't do well being played when soaked...I'm going to sound like one of those grumpy old guys with "back in my day......" games were hardly ever changed unless there was lightening or weather had been bad enough to cancel school (as is now the case for some schools). Suck it up and play in the mud, your precious little kids will live. Player safety is important but stop being a baby. In other news, Tech/Central moved to Sat night, Lake has postponed game w/Woodbridge but don't know new date, and Seaford is postponed as well.

12 in some parts of SussexNot sure I would call 3 to 5 inches a little rain. It is still early in the season why would you destroy your field for the entire season instead of delaying the game a day if the weather was going to be better?
if DIAA gives them the forfeit then they get the points for a win.. but they won't give Seaford the win pts if thats the case... we will have to see what DIAA rules as to who gets the win pts.. if Milford had a contract then it goes to them I would thinkA mistake by Milford IMHO. They gain nothing on their points index, yet could possibly supply bonus points to other schools. Plus, what was the point?
plus the other fall sports soccer and field hockey have to play on it as well... then you hope the field recovers after the winter in time for the spring sportsNot sure I would call 3 to 5 inches a little rain. That parking lot is a nightmare.I think I will sit along the shoulder of Route 9 Sparty.
I doubt that it will be postponed. When they first put it in, I think they said the field could take something like 3 inches an hour and still be playable or some such ridiculous amount. That's some nice turf.Does anyone know if Milford game has been/will be postponed?
Very good point.@Ikey..
Hammer better sit a half on both sides!!
many wrestlers at both schools...
just saying
Only good thing about the postponements is now I can go to that one!Delmar/Laurel Sunday at 3
"Clown Stomped".....that could become my new favorite sayinglol how does that work? youjustme - I had two Smyrna games on the original schedule. Since we are working with Fox up north they did the commentary for the Salesianum game. The other game my request from the home school was never answered so we moved on. I now do not have any Smyrna games on my schedule.Hammer, we need to get you up north and on the mic for a recorded game.
