Fun to debate. I'd definitely have Mount in over DMA. I realize you're giving SOS credit to DMA, but the Seahawks are 0-3 against your top 20 while Mount is 1-2 with a win over #11.

Lazertron - Good point regarding MountP/DMA. I had Mt P at #20, then they beat St Georges, so i was ready to move them up. But I think i was being more critical after how badly Mt P lost their last two games, 9-0 to A.I. and 13-2 to Newark. Especially to Newark, who i slid into the #20 spot this week, so i slid out Mount P (who i had at #20 last week).

Touch - your right, this is a pretty competive spring break. Wish i was off work this week.

I was a little uncomfortable putting A.I & Charter so high because they hadn't been tested much. Now, not only do they play each other today, Charter goes on to play a good Poly team who i think is underrated. Ai goes on to play #1 St Marks.

Newark was a little bit of a stretch at #20, but we will see if Newark is for real with games against Sussex Tech & Mtown this week.

St Marks who already has been tested, continues to be tested playing #14 Sallies, #2 Dover & #5 Ai all this week.

I forsee a RANKINGS nightmare for next week. There will be a lot of movement. Should be fun.

For some reason Charter always seems to get over-ranked during these in-season rankings the last couple of years. I haven't seen them play this year but tonight will tell...

You are killing me with this Central thing, no way six Henlopen teams are better. They already beat three of the six you have listed in front of them.

You called that one, CSWfan. AI over Charter 11-0 in 5 innings.

How about that Newark squad creeping into the top 20? I've only seen them once so far (rout of Red Lion) but they looked decent enough. For now I think 20 sounds about right for them.

8yaz. That was my gift to you, Newark at #20. Actually they earned it after their rout of Mt P, who is still a decent enough team. Other than Mt P, their wins over weaker teams. Oddly what i find impressive is their losses. One run losses to Charter and Smyrna and a 5-0 loss to a good Ai team isnt too shabby. Thats three relatively close losses overall to three top ten teams (at least before last night's Ai/Charter game).

Now, holding onto #20 will be the hard part. Newark has Sussex Tech and Mtown this week, two tough games.

After that i would say Newark has six winnable games in a row, bwine, concord, christiana, delcastle, friends and WmPenn. Not all sure things, but certainly all winnable games for Newark. Then finish with DMA & Mtown again.

I think .500 is a very real possibility and with some good fortune they could be flirting with a playoff spot.

I'm just happy that Newark is competitive again. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see them as a playoff team.
