The ST Ravens (5-0) will travel north Saturday night and face conference rival Smyrna Eagles (4-1). Kick-off time is scheduled for 6:00 with a temperature at 40 degrees and NW winds at 12mph. I would expect a stellar crowd on hand for this event considering the winner will sit all alone at the top of the Henlopen North.

Should be a great matchup besides the fact that Tech's top rusher, Patrick Griffin will not be allowed to participate in this game. From what I heard he was ejected in the CR game last week for throwing a punch. If this is true I think Smyrna gets the benefit of the doubt for this game

I honestly think Smyrna blows this one open. Saw Tech a couple weeks ago against SC and they weren't overly impressive. However, that was after the monsoon rain we had so the field conditions weren't necessarily the greatest. Thinking of making my way up to Smyrna tomorrow night.

There was an ejection in last weeks game between CR and Sussex Tech. Looks like Griffin is out.

Smack...I did not see the ST/SC game and I agree a 19-7 score may not be impressive for either team. SC got beat by Tech and then went on to demolish Cape. I figured Cape might not be competitive this year until they beat the pants off of Dover. I'm anxious to see how Smyrna adapts to the physical style football coming from Tech tonight and Central next week. I believe both of those teams are more physical than anything Smyrna has seen yet. Thinking of making my way up to Smyrna tonight too. Besides, both teams have good BANDS!

Sussex Tech and Sussex Central are physical running teams but aren't anymore physical than Sallies . The Tech defense might be a bit more physical but without Griffin's running I don't think they can hang in. You're going to have to score points to beat Smyrna. Tech can't score 17 or 19 and expect to win tonight. Smyrna probably handles SC fairly easy. Was very surprised Dover lost that badly to Cape.
