Not that it matters but just a curiosity,, Is Reeder a DE kid or PA or NJ? Where did he go to middle school and where did he play his rec ball I guess is the question

I would consider him a Delaware kid. Played for Sallies in Delaware, and then UD.

It is funny, Godwin was born in PA, but was raised in Middletown, but he doesnt claim Mtown, he claims PA.

That wasn't my point.. I could care less what state a kid is from.. Was just curious where he played rec and or middle school ball..

He attended Holy Angels and The Independence School.
He played football at Holy Angels with his dad as the coach.
With the weight rule in CYO, he was not allowed to run the ball, only play on the line. They ran the wing-t and use to pull him. You kind of had an idea then that he was special

I always hated that Pop Warner weight rule.. Its why I started the Harco Horns.. even though we only lasted a few years we forced the Harford Co/Baltimore Co to go age only no weight restrictions. MOT made the same move at that time as well

The dad played for Christiana and mom was an all state basketball player for Glasgow. The dad's family came down from PA coal country when he was a kid. They live in Delaware. The mom's dad was a DE State Trooper.
(I honestly believed they were PA people because of the dad being an OC at Avon Grove more than a decade ago,)

One thing about you Bib is that you are well intentioned and not a cheap shot artist on this stuff. One a side note the Sals Archmere transfer played for Mr. Reeder at Holy Angels.

I would love to see Mr. Reeder coach a DE HS FB program.

The Independence School? Where is that and why? Does it still exist?

Oh definitely not taking any shots . I am a history buff I am saying...and even more so I am interested in the paths people take to get where they are now. It was thought Mr Reeder was going to take a position coaching at Caravel a few years back which didn't happen IMO mainly because Troy transferred to UD but he did send few Holy Angels Caravels way.

As for the Sals/Arch transfer he may have played for the Holy Angels you dont have to live in DE to do that but he definitely wrestled for Malvern Prep and the Dark Knights Wrestling Club from Stroudsburg in 2018.. Oddly enough he didn't wrestle for Archmere this year but did play lax, Unless there are two Brett Kwoka's that look alike in this area a simple google search will confirm what I am saying.. Not that i care ,, He could come from California to Sallies and he would just be a kid going to a good school getting a quality education, which is a good thing... I am still interested in the path that lead them there though

It’s not uncommon many DE kids are from Phillly and identify themselves as Philly. Moving here in my sons 8th grade not sure what he would identify himself as. MD or DE. I know he is Ravens through and through.

Apologies to those who may feel it is creepy to discuss the details of someone's family. It was done strictly to add clarity and possibly correct some erroneous assumptions.

One other thing…. many Delaware natives have moved to Chester County PA. Often, they still work in Wilmington and send their kids to private and Catholic schools here in Delaware. This has been going on for like 30 years.

Have a nice Labor Day..

Relax Ches. Nothing creepy just conversation. And informative. No different than conversations on the fence at the games. Now rumors are a different story but they can be fun also lol

DE privates should never be defensive about kids that come from MD, PA or NJ. If anything it’s a feather in their cap that the kids parents think the education is better than what is available. People want to make it about sports. Really? You think DE offers a better sports opportunity than those states? Better look at the numbers again lol
