We cross the halfway point of this unique season this weekend and we should have a better idea of who stands where, although the playoff pictures won't be anywhere near complete til the final weekend. Sloshy fields could play a factor as teams with speed could find some tough sledding ahead, giving their opponents a much better chance to keep up.

Game Of The Week: Smyrna vs. Sallies at the Ab, Friday November 13, 7:30 pm.

4 years after Baynard was scheduled to replaced, after Redding Building Red Tape, a generous donation from a devoted alum and sheer will, Abessinio Stadium opens tonight with a marquee matchup.

The Sals have recovered nicely from their opening weekend whoopin at Malvern Prep to pick up wins against Dover and Lansdale Catholic, keeping their playoff hopes alive. Tonight will be a bit tougher as that famed offensive juggernaut from Smyrna comes to town, fresh off of grinding out a 34-28 win at always tough Sussex Central. The pageantry won't affect the Eagles much, but Sals' defense might. It's a question of if their offense can keep pace.

Gate's Pick: Smyrna 32, Sallies 20
