A few game schematics could've occured in order for a safety to have 14 tackles. Safety blitzes, multiple coverage schemes, packages when he dropped down to play linebacker are just a few. However, Penn may have thought that Whitehead could've been exploited and he was reading everything that Penn schemed correctly.Everything in response is right on target.
In a team performance sense, does having a safety making all those tackles tell us that the linemen and linebackers need to step it up. 14 tackles by a safety! Wow.
That is true. For much of the Penn game the “O” line and the “D” line were both being handled by the Penn lines. Both UD lines need to improve.Everything in response is right on target.

Here we go again!!! The thread was obviously created to show love to a hometown kid, at a hometown school, that’s performing at a high level on the field! Why is it necessary to take the shine off of the kid that’s playing great, by insinuating that other parts of the team must some how be underperforming? Just sad!Everything in response is right on target.
