Sallies-59 Smyrna-60

Craziest ending I seen to a game all year. Tied @ 58 w/ 11 seconds left Sallies' Donte hits 1 of 2 free throws, Smyrna's Javier Worthy hits a floater to put Smyrna ahead 60-59, Smyrna steals the inbound pass & gets fouled w/ 1.4 seconds left & goes to the line to shoot 1 and 1 & everybody including me is assuming the game is over...Smyrna misses front end of the 1 and 1, Donte grabs the long rebound & the shooter fouls him in the double bonus w/ .4 seconds left & to my surprise he misses both free throws ballgame over.

Donte is definitely the most college-ready player we have here n DE as of right now & played well tonight besides the missed free throws @ the end but @ 10-9 I'm not so sure if he is a lock for POY...Sallies still has Concord left on the schedule for their last game which they could very well lose so my question is has there ever been a POY n DE whose team didn't finish above .500? To his defense...this was my first time seeing Sallies this year & he has no help outside of Clark who hits the boards hard for a guard. Right now I wouldn't be surprised if Mikey Dixon, Burnett or Mallory got it.

On another note Latrelle Lee of Smyrna has consistently played well all year for Smyrna(14-5 w/ wins over Dover, St. E's & Sallies) & brought his A-game for the challenge tonight...he is @ least 3rd Team All State if I'm voting. I even heard some Sallies fans sitting behind me mentioning how "smooth" he was & he also took the challenge of guarding Donte when Smyrna was n man to man.

Even w/ this loss though after looking over Sallies schedule they are still on the cusp of getting a top 8 seed & 1st Round bye...maybe #10 seed @ worst even w/ 9/10 losses.

So Donte missed 3 free throws tonight in the last 10 seconds, and he missed 4 in the last 30 seconds of the Friends game. I hope for his sake he starts hitting them come tournament time. LOL

Let Sallies bring their .500 record to the tourney and see how far that strength of schedule takes them.

Sallies rarely has a good basketball team. They were due.

Yaz is a Cranky Old woman that has been trashing YOUTH players if they happen to go to St marks or Salesianum.. Her act has been trash for years. Its a shame you don't have to use your Real name like other Youth Forums. If they get their act together, Salesianum can play with anyone in the State except maybe Sanford. Stay Classy Yaz

1super, I dare you to present any any evidance where I directed one negative comment about at player from St Marks or Sallies. Sorry I don't like your team, don't take it personal.
