Anyone give the kids from BIG S a chance against Money, Cropper and crew? Looks like the Sals may have a pretty rough time of it Friday

After St.E lackluster performance vs Mount Pleasant, im not too sure they deserve the pedestal you've placed them upon

I think this is a pretty interesting game. St E has better guard play but not sure how they counter big guys from Sallies. How officials call this one will be key. If they let them play edge Sallies.

Top, I saw the clones play against Wm Penn. This team is so green that I am only going to use green ink when discussing them. I have no sense of how good any of these teams are. The greenies have some talent - still to be developed and meshed as a cohesive unit.

I think the game is on the Radio. Bummy will break out the the 1956 RCA.

Uncle-bumfuzzled, whenever u and the Sals folks want to rid yourself of the some talent greenies especially the big one, i'll be more than happy to take all four of your hands to make room for the arrival of the next Donte.

I don't think that the Sals folks would make that deal. I go to like 2 DE HS Bball games a year. My area of expertise is FB.

Where would you take the players you are referring to? Also, my sense is that # 3 and the big guy are the next Donte.

Uncle Bumfuzzle, A man who knows football knows sports. Nobody would make that deal. To use football as a reference, the super bowl game patriots vs seatle. On the 1 yard line seconds to go, 1st down. Pete Carroll decides not to pond the ball using Marshawn Lynch instead he passes, and u know the rest. Doesn't mean he's not a great coach but that was bad. In the William Penn game sallies had them down by 12 at the half and has something William Penn doesn't have a monster on the inside with a 80% shoot percetage. But their strategy let's run a bunch of 5'10 guys around on the parameter and only pass inside 4 times. Let's say u enter 10 more times at 80%. Let say he scores 5 times in row, now they either go to zone or double, that's when the other kids get to exploit this with open shoots and back door cuts for layups, game over. We may have watched the same game but in my opinion the loss had to do with coaching error rather than whether those kids were green. U same old school like me but the greatest error that I have made in coaching is to over think. Pete Carroll strayed away from simplicity and he payed too. I think William Penn would lose in double figures to sallies if they play them in march on neutral ground especially with whittesley back. Don't know what will happen tonight but St. Elizabeth has no answer for that inside talent.

Thanks for that explanation. I am not a basketball guy. I was totally mystified by the collapse in the second half. I blamed it on being green. We will see how the clones progress. It is still early in the season.
I listened to the game tonight. The Harmon guy reall explains the game very well.

St E takes it 60-47.

Ingraham took a finger to the eye in the first couple minutes and sat the rest of the half. He played the 2nd half so I assume he's okay.

St E just too quick for Sallies tonight and without the big guy they attached the rim repeatedly. Cropper had a nice game. Money not great but made a lot of free throws. Thomas had a nice first half.

What I have seen of the Sals is they lack a go-to scorer. But it's a long way to go....

Highly anticipated game both teams are favorites to compete for the state title .Tonight ST.E's executed and played their game. Money is just that.He played his game. I understand the frustration that must be felt by all the Sals fans with Ingram taking a finger to the eye and not being able be to be himself and help his team to a possible win. This season is early everyone is getting into there groove. I don't like calling a player dirty sometimes it's just a reaction. I heard this early in the season watching a game and a player had a similar eye injury. No one even talked about it or even mentioned it the kid was clearly hurt. He battled through it and sank 2 game tieing free throws. In a game that his team went on to win. Guess Who?? POY

Ummm...are you saying that Money should be POY this year?

Watched replay of the game. Cropper was on the back side of the play. When spun away from Cropper and dunked in Miles he was inadvertently hit by Miles.

Thanks dmoney814, I stand corrected, and apologize to Cropper and the St. E's people but that was the play that changed the game in my opinion. I am neither a St. E's or sillies fan and have no horses in the race. I think St. George's wins it this year. Would like to see these teams go at it again with a healthy Ingraham.

I saw in the box score that the 'Greenies" actually put the ball in the hole more times than St. E's. Playing from behind they had to foul a lot and St. E's made the most of it. Sals have an interesting game coming up vs St. Joe's Prep of the PCL.
