This is probably the 1st time that I’ve never seen a post leading up to this game. Shows how far the rivalry has fallen with St Marks really struggling to maintain enrollment. For awhile this was the game of the season. The Holy War and arguably the States biggest rivalry . Sad to see it go. As a Spartan grad I just hope they score tonight as they’ve been shutout 2 years in a row. Sallies is much the better team.

St Marks is a D-II school. In the words of St Francis DeSales, "be who you are and be it well". St Marks is competing well as a D-II school. Soccer, Field Hockey and Volleyball all in the state tournament. Enrollment is steady, the academics are great, and the campus is amazing. The future is bright, just stop playing Sallies in football. Why Sallies is giving away 2 pts, to me, is stupid.

St Marks is DII now . Five years ago we were competing and competing well as a top tier DI football team.

The enrollment sucks and nobody cares about soccer, field hockey or volleyball .

I mean all that in a very nice way.

The game with Sallies still goes on because it still draws. St Marks will be packed tonight and making $$. The game doesn’t make sense anymore especially for Sallies. They can’t afford to be playing DII teams .

Delaware lawmakers change the playing field with the Charter School Bill years back and its finally had its full impact,

The crack about St. Francis de Sales was uncalled for. I basically agree with the rest of your post.

The Slowskys are just not physical anymore. Last year, if Patrick was running the ball they could feature a punishing running game. This year they are the 3 Little Bakers.

...there are some points to be made here....like if Sparty were still categorized as D1 the Slowskys could limp into the tournament and be awarded with a game in Smyrna.

If the Sals are not with it tonight and sleep walk like the did at Judge, Sparty could humiliate them one more time. That would be the final nail in the coffin for Slowskys....a season to forget. Honestly, Slowsky fans should be rooting for Penn tonight to end this nightmare.
