Williams under center might give Spartans the edge this time around. He looked extremely good against Montclair and was able to move the ball against a very good & athletic defense. St. Marks 24 - Sals 20

Is there any place to buy tickets on line or do you have to go to one of the schools?

This game being played in the middle of the season still just doesn't seem right.

Good game Williams back at quarterback helps them alot this was a statement game

Williams was a beast. Played and controlled the offense like he has been playing all year. He was the difference in the game. Final score was 28-21 but I would bet statistically it was not that close.

Very disappointing and uneven season for the Sals. You never know from week to week which team is gonna take the field, a good one or a bad one.

The Sals are still one of the better teams in the state. But this loss could cost them a playoff spot. It will be close at the end of the season. I think that William Penn, Middletown, Sussex Tech and Cape are all looking good for the playoffs. St. Marks and Concord are looking like they have the inside track on the final two spots. Newark is going to need to upset Concord or Middletown to get in. And the Sals may need some help for them to get in. The final points will be close for the last spot.

Points aside. The 6 best teams in the state are William Penn, St Marks, Middletown, Sussex Tech, Concord and Sallies based on record and strength of schedule. Newark has a chance to take a spot with a win against Concord or Middletown plus beating Hodgson. Even though they probably are going to get in, based on schedule Cape does not belong at this time. They need to beat Sussex Tech to make a case.

Old timer totally agree with your thoughts. But due to the point system Cape is probably going to the tournament. And the Sals are facing a tough road to get in.

If cape beats Sussex tech they will make playoffs as Henlopen champ. Very interesting game next week. Sallies should get to 6-3 with games against DMA and Delcastle. Then finish at Middletown.

If Cape beats Tech they belong in the playoffs. Problem is they still will probably get in with a loss. I understand they have to play the Hen North conference games but their out of conference schedule is so weak. One team with a winning record a so far and they are ranked 75th in their state. Plus the Hen North seems to be having a down year with Dover, Central and CR not having good seasons. If Cape played Sallies, St Marks, Concords or Penns schedule what would their record be? Certainly not 7-0.

I hear what your saying but their 3 losses were to very good teams. IMHO-disappointing may be the wrong choice of words. No biggie though, it does not look very optimistic but still some games to be played.....I think we can agree that last night they appeared to be off.

Yes the game next week with tech and cape is very crucial this will
Be a true test for cape techs explosiveness offenses and solid defense should give cape a challenge.

Have seen both Capeand Tech in action. IMO Tech is better by 1 TD. Cape has 1 big RB that does the lion's share of the work. Tech can throw the ball and doesn't rely so much on their big RB.

With the remaining schedules for both teams- seems a fair chance both will finish 9-1.
