Sanford got there hands full... Stan putting the youngsters to test early.. Thats Great....

Stan runs a good basketball program regardless of the fact that Sanford as a school in my opinion takes him for granted. Kids are well disciplined, they play hard & if u one of these schools that just have a basketball team, his program will smash u.

You called it right, I thought Howard would get the W vs St. E but St. E held them off.
Seen that coming a mile away... I think alot of coaches dont put the time in as a coach to go scout other teams.. At least send someone on your coaching Staff.. Cape is one of those programs that doesnt and it cost them big Time... I watched Milford vs WB.. WB trapped the ball with full court Press and Milford had no answer but WB struggled in halfcourt set .... Cape coach would have known that if he was there or his Staff.. As i knew he wouldnt full court Press.. So That meant Milford be in game all the way threw and still the game in 4th....

Some quality teams in this tournament. Sidwell has Jelani Williams who is a high D1 prospect from the program that produced Josh Hart. As was pointed out, Sanford will have a battle on their hands but certainly a great early, out of state test that few programs would embrace.

No, they honor him because he deserves it, this coming from administration, faculty, players, former players alumni and parents. everyone knows and sees it.
He deserves it no question, therefore they have too, same thing I said, but that doesn't mean they want too. They would rather honor a white guy & have less black kids.

Black, white or Chinese ,Sanford and coach are attracting young talent and grooming it for years...sounds like they are creating an atmosphere that breeds championship quality teams year after year. Parents know there kids are in good hands with coach, it is what it is.
Kids are in great hands with that coaching staff, best in state & one of the best in region in my opinion, moot point. Stan is Sanford, he puts them on map, without him its just an overpriced tiny school full of elitist. Personally I prefer St. Marks for private education, more to offer.

Crazaj, here is how the westtown schools & LA lumiere & other privates figure out the business side of sports and academics. Private schools cannot exist without cash flow from alum or donors. This funding whether it be endowments or donation fund financial aid which supports many families ability to afford an education. Sports especially championship quality teams as well as other planned non athletic activities keep alum & donors linked in. Attending games and reading about your school in the papers keep schools relevant keeps money flowing. So for those schools its good business to be generous with maybe 6-7 financial aid packages toward athletes to benefit the many kids dependent on donor support, it's just good business. It's also advertisement nationally for your institutions. Unfortunately your school is on the small bus & don't realize that you're not unique, Caravel, red lion, St. Marks, sallies etc have in my opinion a superior academic, social, sports environment with dramatic difference in price. So Waterman adds prestige to your institution, he is a classy guy who wins & keeps the $$$ flowing. So me as a business mind I'm going to stack the deck & give him the resources to built a powerhouse squad like many privates do, it's just good business. Yet this year outside of Davis, the little gaurds is nice, Sanford is a shadow of the talent it use to have. Surprise some other private school does not offer that staff a deal, I know I would.

Sanford got their a$$es handed to them in that tournament. Better get back to little old Delaware.

Not many schools have the resources to take 13+ high school students on overnighter's. Hell, some get denied scrimmages downstate because of the transportation cost.

this is true also.. have and have not's but I appreciate coaches in either position they do what they can not always what they would like to do or want to do.. Many go over and beyond what they can afford and some do only what is expected..
