With all due respect to Concord. Their offensive game plan and execution is awful. They have some talented looking guys but they don't get utilized at all.

Concord line is abysmal.. Can't believe they couldn't score after the 80 yd pick off return to the 2 right before half SMDH
Sallies below average size wise this year but definitely seem quicker. Gwynn can sling it and threw quite a bit in the first half. Sallies big lineman Jamal W on crutches, have heard but can't confirm he'll be back in 4 or 5 weeks.
Concord has amazing athletes each year but for some reason can never put it all together. Or maybe Sallies is just that good.
Gate....I have often thought the same thing about Concord. I did not think they would beat Sals but did not expect this lopsided type of loss.
That pistol offense hardly ever works. It was popular in the early 2000's and worked for a couple years but its easy to defend so its faded out. If Raiders line don't play better than they did today its going to be a long season for Bam
Well well now, this just might could throw one's City Rankings off? Seems as if Sallies might have a QB, Receivers, Lineman, and a Coach that has talent. I am only saying this because they won strongly even with the bus ride and early Saturday morning start. Some experts have pointed out that both factors have hampered the Sals in the past especially with the bus rides to Sussex Tech, ( which confuse me). Judge Judy just had some players. That Big back he has is damn good! Reminds me of St. Mark's Frank Ceaphous

I went to the Salesianum-Concord game. It looks like you had 2 mid level teams to me.
Both poject to about .500 based on what I saw today.
Sals just don't seem to have pop at her O-line. They have no feature backs. The QB can throw a bit but the Oline probably cant give him protection against top tier teams.

I don't even know if I can call their offense the pistol . They run some pistol but then they try mixing in other stuff. Scheme wise they were all over the place. Made zero sense. I've seen pop warner teams better prepared offensively.
Why would it be a long year for me eagle? That doesn't make any sense. Actually at my age time is flying by. I would welcome a long year lol
That's what I thought too. I wouldn't let the 35-0 win over Concord or the 4 TD passes factor into the City Rankings. (They will beat both Middletown and Judge Judy's Eagles).
The Sallies QB might be better than you thought and perhaps better than the Middletown QB. If you think of it, I would really be interested in a N/Gorretti score.
I don't see how the Sals can beat either Smyrna or Middletown. Gwynn throws a nice ball. The kid is the best QB they have had since Srgo but they have to protect him. Maybe I will get to see them on 302.

I wasn't at the game. Did he get hurried and sacked a lot? I would like to know how this odd thing happened today and how WP played.
I think he got sacked 3 times. We have to let this play out a bit.The Slowskys don't have a feature back. Maybe they will have to put the ball up more this year. Does 302 keep their games up on youtube? Maybe I should watch it. I don't to come across as being negative about the guys from Broom St but I think the O line graduations really has set them back. I have always thought Gwynn is a very good QB but to suggest better than Fry is crazy. Did you not see some of the plays Fry made last night? Not one thing against Gwynn he is good but Fry is on a different level. Is what it is

St. Georges tried the pistol in spurts last night against Howard and had some success, not enough to swing the outcome, but I guess it depends on the athletes and the defense.
any system can be successful if you block it correctly ..but its takes commitment to the system and mastering its bread and butter plays,, bee bopping around from set to set with different blocking schemes causes a proplem
Good for the young man! ECA stand out!!! They have produced many engineers, doctors, lawyers, and sheer intellectuals. Can't say enough about the institution and it's founders.
