Friends beating Sallies definite upset; I think Newark is getting hot atm and CR only goes with Clark. I wouldn't be surprised if they spoil Dover's undefeated season

The seeding prediction thread had Sallies w/ the #11 seed at 14-6, sitting at 10-8 now they could easily finish 11-9 w/ games at Sussex Tech & home against Concord remaining which would drop them to the middle of the pack.

Anyone know the status of Kane's injury?

Dover is not CR...Dover brings a lot more intensity, pressure & physicality. CR's Clark needs to step it up, at times it just doesn't seem like he is playing hard & on cruise control. At 6'8 & athletic I would like to see him take advantage of the 6-8 inches that he has on the defenders that they play him straight up w/...he settles for too many 3s at times. CR has some talent but gotta play w/ more heart & show that they actually want to win games.

Oh agreed. Dover is by far better than CR. Only thing that made the 2nd match up close was Davis fouled out late in the 3rd quarter. But Still Newark is one of those teams that match up well. Not saying they will beat Dover but I could see them giving them a game

I saw the first half of Newark-CR and was not very impressed overall. Some sloppy play both ways. Don’t think either team can play with Sanford or Dover (although I have not seen Dover this year, just going on what others have said about them). As a side note, the gym at Newark is in sad shape. Really dark in there - the lighting is bad and the walls and bleachers are black! It was actually difficult to see what was really happening on the court. When the anthem was played before the game, about half the crowd did not stand. I have no problem with people not standing and I fully support the athletes who kneel in protest, but these people (mostly students) were not doing that. They were loud and oblivious to the whole situation. They were yelling and laughing and were completely rude. If they were attempting to make a statement or to protest something, they actually undermined their own efforts with the way they acted.

Kane will be out Saturday vs Sallies but should be ready for playoffs

Unfortunately that is the sad state of affairs in the Christina School District. Christiana and Glasgow are no different.

The lighting is horrible.

Saw the game at Newark last night. Give CR credit. Clark picked his 2nd foul 4 minutes into the game and sat rest of half. They were way down in this one in the second half. They couldn't make a shot in the third quarter. But they kept playing and got it even in the last minute before the final shot by Newark sealed it.

I don't get what CR wants to do with Clark. He's 6'8" and stands out beyond the arc. They have 3 point shooters. They don't need another one. If they moved him inside they'd be tough to handle. When he does get it around the basket he knows what to do. Very curious.

@DDBasketballCoach, Boy were your wrong...LoL This was the most lopsided game I attended all year.
