Scrimmage smryna vs good counsel

16-7 halftime. I wouldn't say having their way but winning. Not sure if the teams will start start subbing second half or not but typically they do

Following on #Squad1 3D

Looking at the twitter stream, it looks like defense came up big several times. Good confidence booster for the kids to beat #88 ranked team on their field. I'm sure coaches will take find plenty of things to keep working on.

Whoa is this The Good Council (onley) RR if so then that's some good stuff.

I know GC lost a lot due to graduation and transfers but that's still a pretty damn good program

In other semi related news former Good Counsel wrestler and 2016 olympic champion Kyle Snyder win his second world championship with a last second take down to defeat Russian champion in the final match which with who ever won their team wins as well. What a match. Russian dude looked like he had it the whole way and Snyder snatched it in the last 20 seconds. Wowser. I dont think the fight tonight will live up to that drama and excitement. Maybe i will try and wrestle my son again im feeling it. Oh wait last time i did that he tore my rotator cuff. Never mind f that lol

This Good Counsel is a shell of its former self. I wouldn't take too much off the preseason rankings as they are based on history and don't take into account the transfers out. They are a regular Catholic private now and will be lucky to finish 4th in the WCAC especially if they run that offense. QB ran the ball allot I don't think they can pass lol. I think even a down and young Gilman team will trounce them next week.

Could Caravel beat them?

No! jackass

When talking WCAC or MIAA were talking different animals. 4th in the WCAC is still top 5 in DE. Those teams are recruited up and look like small college teams. only in Good Counsel's case the money dried up and coach retired so the recruits left. Is what it is

Check my previous statement that Gilman would trounce Good Counsel.. Watching Gilman vs Gonzaga and Gonzaga is beating the breaks off Gilman 35-0 in the third..Running clock.. Gilman looks like a prep school oh wait they are lol Lets not forget Good Counsel was 3-3 in the WCAC last year before they lost their kids,, Dematha, St Johns and Gonzaga will smash them and maybe eve Bishop McNamara.. On that note Gonzaga looks really good and may challenge Dematha

So, how exactly does the scrimmage scoring system work, anyway?

I read this online so take it with a grain of salt but I think how it works is that when one team gets into the end zone, they score. If the other team gets in, they score. And so on and so forth

Ouch, nothing you read online can ever be true. Don't be so small minded next time.

The bus ride effect was not a factor foe the Eagles like it is for the Slowskys.

If the Slowskys are fortunate enough to stay in the game with Concord then there is the specter of the 2 hour bus ride to Sussex Tech. Who can ever forget the 2014 playoff game where ST ran them out of the stadium.

The weakness against quickness and speed is part of the DNA of the Slowsky program.

Stay thirsty, my friends.

Sorry, clones. It is that time of year. I just can't help myself.

Well the issue for Sallies is that the long trips tend to wreak havoc on their star 30 year old's joints, having to sit on a cramped bus with a bunch of young whipper snappers. For smyrna it isn't an issue because all their kids are normal aged for high school. Maybe Sallies thinks about alternative transportation for their college aged kids in the future? Could be advantageous for them

Congrats, UD.
That's the problem with the Slowskys. The bigness and badness is in the past.
Ghosts of Jack Mulvena, Al Hollis, Kevin Reilly, Mark McLane and Troy Reeder.
