alotta of the top players in the country a few top 100 high school teams, last year no Delaware team came within 20 points of the out state teams. they all were ran out of the gym. What Delaware team do you think can hold their own this year?

http://slamdunktothebeach.com/schedule-2015/

Sanford
Appo
Mount
St ez
Cape
Dover

Good luck too all hold it down fellas!

Sanford, Appo, Dover will hold there own. The rest have not been challenge at this level. Too be fair most of these schools come from states where the rules are favorable to talent development & allow schools to stack talent. Delaware schools refuse to get with the times & understand that good academics & athletics work hand & hand. AAU however has provided an avenue to balance this all out by giving Delaware kids an opportunity to develope, showcase, and get challenged by national compitetion. In the end the circuit runs things and controls all the recruiting now so I would expect Delaware teams not to be intimidated as they were in prior years but there is still nothing u can do about huge imbalances of talent. My message to the kids is nobody should ever out work u no matter what there talent is..

5 national top-25 teams (La Lumiere, Roman Catholic, Roselle Catholic, Neumann-Goretti, The Patrick School) and 60+ kids who will play D1 ball. The most exciting players to watch, in my opinion, will be Quade Green, Nazreon Reid, Cameron Reddish, and Mohamed Bamba.

I think Dover has the best chance. Normally I would say Sanford but they are playing a stacked la lumiere team.

I've been lucky enough to see everyone except Bamba on your list bluecat. Really excited to see nick Richards and tyger Campbell.

I went yesterday and will be there today.

Quick takes:

Bishop McNamara very solid with big size and young roster. Very talented.

Paul Vi looked looked against NG. Quads played good but got little help. VJ King very smooth. Like his game. Maingailt (sp?) center could not be stopped. Very efficient.

Dixon simply spectacular but it took a team effort to beat Dover. Stan put on an effective box and 1 to frustrate Allen and the entire team. Evans ran a sold point game and Walsh contributed 20 pts despite a lot of turnovers. Likely to be ugly v LaLu tonight. Will be interesting to see how it compares to their Westtown game earlier.

I remember last year when a coach specifically told me they would not be coming back due to the officiating. He stayed true to his word.

I would not be surprised to see that happen again based on some coaches reactions to the calls yesterday. I also think they should move the event to the Bob and make it a tournament not just random games. I only went one day but would have purchased a 3 day pass if it was closer. Would like to see St Es play Mount today at noon but not worth the 90 minute drive. The Slam used to be bracket play. Maybe a National 8 team bracket. National Teams play 3 games each and a bunch of 4 team brackets with teams playing 2 games each.

Two points:

1. They are not moving the site. Plentiful hotels and easy access for both Jersey and MD/DC teams.

2. People will always complain about the officiating. They complain about in the NFL.

1- Just as easy if not easier access in Newark at UD. (Beast wrestling has over 100 teams participate so there are plenty of places to stay)
2- Not complaining just an observation. It was outright bad at times. Gonna be a problem when National teams stop coming. There are plenty of other options now during the holiday season for these top teams. The word gets around.

They would not move it to the Bob. Part of the tournaments appeal is its at the beach. But I would like to see some sort of bracket. Sounds dumb but some teams will come for a trophy

Does anyone have scores for today's games? The Slam web site has not updated anything all day.

Its not Slam Dunk to the Bob ,its to the Beach so no its not moving and as far as bracket play I was told by a good friend whos on the board teams want to know specifically who they are playing and when so their not looking to make it bracket play

There are plenty of high school basketball tournaments that have bracket play. Bet attendance would better especially championship night.

Mount beat up St Es yesterday 65-42. After watching St Es beat St Raymond on Monday I thought they may have a chance to beat Mount. At least the game would be closer than the final. Mounts freshman Cramer had 19 points with 9 boards.

Moving the Slam Dunk to the Beach from the Beach kinda defeats the purpose, so we can kill that now. Would be interesting to see if Sussex legislators take note of a possible arena in Wilmington and try to raise the idea of something similar to the Wicomico Center in Salisbury if Slam Dunk 2.0 takes off...

Slam is not going to move. As far as brackets go, the old Slam had brackets and a number of national teams complained that they did not get to play the teams they wanted to due to "upsets" in the brackets. That's why they went to the current setup with guaranteed team matchups. As far as the refs, people will complain about them no matter what, so don't bother to even post that stuff. There is a shortage of refs and it is what it is. People will just have to live with it unless many new refs step up.

I was there the year that Lebron & St. Vincent St. Mary's played & I am almost positive that they did not play Oak Hill. I'm pretty sure Oak Hill has not played @ Slam Dunk in all of the years that I attended. Carmelo played @ Slam Dunk his sophomore year while he was still @ Towson Catholic before he transferred to Oak Hill but Lebron was not there that year so I am not sure where this pic is but I am pretty sure it is not Slam Dunk To The Beach...still a great pic though.

Photo looks like it is from the Prime Time Shootout in Trenton NJ. Thirty bus loads of fans came from Akron for the game. If memory serves me correctly, Lebron had 37 points and Melo had 38 points. Oak Hill was loaded with high major prospects and St Vincent St Mary's had The King and his court.

Yea that wasn't at Slam dunk to the beach...they played a nationally televised game but that was not at Cape. They were not there at the same time. I used to be a ball boy there since I was like 10 years old until it stopped. This is a real pic but a false caption lol The site isn't going to move but there should be a requirement of at least two games by every team and better planning when it comes to games. Cape shouldn't be the primetime game lol Not with the team they have or really ever. Great talent there and a way to continue to have them show up however, an earlier start time and no gap between games would be ideal.

You are correct elite was at that game. Melo outplayed Lebron that game. I am not sure Lebron scored that many? But I do remember Lebron going over to the scorer's table and ripping out a page of the scorebook so that he could take down Melo's number.

Also the college coaches like the fact that they know exactly when the player that they are scouting is going to play so that plan their schedules. This is a little harder to do in bracket play.
