Smyrna O-line is struggling. Knight can't get loose. They still lead 8-7 in the 2nd Q. Smyrna has punted twice and each time the Franklin D did not rush at all. Their lineman took one step, turned around, and ran back to set up a return. The Smyrna punter could have run for 30 yards or more! This is a tight game - seems to be a very even match.Smyrna passing game is suspect.

Smrynas secondary exposed by franklin. Franklin wins 38-20. Will be along season season. Knight cant carry this alone he will need help. Smryna needs other offensive options to help knight
Final Franklin 38-28 Smyrna. Franklin is a solid team. Smyrna needs some serious work.
I thought they showed some improvement. Still work to be done. Franklin was too big, and too good. Qb made some good passes (needs more of that), receivers made some catches. Some curious play calling but may be part of the "process".
Offense is just Will.
Defense has some really good kids (linebackers #1 and #22 for instance), some decent ones and then 1 or 2 that seem to run away from the play. It's amazing to watch. And because of this teams gash them. Most of them do seem to play hard though so you gotta give that to them.

Smyrna will roll Henlopen North and walk into the tournament. I think they will turn it around. They have good coaching and athletes. Will 3peat. You heard it here first....
Franklin QB got injured in the 2nd qt. And never returned. It was the backup the entire 2nd half.
Franklin #6 who caught the first touchdown, I was told at the game he is getting some serious recruitment looks. And watching, it was a matchup problem the entire game.
Personally, I thought Smyrna played better last week than tonight. But that could have been because of how good Franklin was.
And yes, this offense needs to be more than Knight! Wilson took some baby steps forward tonight, seemed like they opened the playbook up a bit for him, but that first catch for Smyrna at the 1 yard line, that was all the receiver! He dove for that ball, and definetly a sports center top 10. Better than that Glasgow hit last week.

IF, and that's a big IF, Smyrna loses next week to Irvington and sallies, they will still run through the Henlopen teams and get that auto bid. I won't be too worried, because anything can happen once postseason starts he

It may be to give the qb some game time experience to work on some things in an out of state opponent game. It can only help later in the season.

Yeah I don't think he was joking. You lost to best team in DE aa good out of state team. Easily could go 7-3 or so and make playoffs. Long season.
