St. Marks-Slowsky Ticket $10

That game is not worth $10. It's sad, but I believe St. Marks is done as a football program. They will soon fit in the same mold as most of the other non conference D2 teams. Not taking anything from those other teams, but St. Marks football use to be a respected and feared D1 competitor. D2 Teams are starting to look past them now and prepare for the following week.
dove, you are correct. St. Marks beat the Sals last year. The Big S under performed in that one. Sure, the Sals are the favorites.
How about 2007 when the Sals were winning 20-0 and got beat 21-20. I have some painful Sals - St. Marks experiences.
It will worth $10 to see the upset. I may buy a $20 box seat. My fave SM victory over the Slowskys was 11-11-11
When Sals led by 11 in 4th Q and the managed to lose by 11. The SM QB wore #11.
The Slowskys had better talent and found a way to hurt their tournament seeding by losing to Sparty.

(I think the Slowskys won 15-13 in 2008. That was a .500 Slowsky team.)
My sense is that SMH will win in a late rally...a stunning upset.
That would mean that the Prestigious Bumfuzzled City Title would go to Howard or St E's...after all, St E's had the talent and the character to beat Sparty.

Give some credit for trying. The 11-11-11 thing was beyond strange. I think it was Jeff Ziemba # 11 who was the Sparty hero.
I agree that there is potential for a St. Marks upset but only because it is a rivalry game. They will need a little more than luck to get a win though. Maybe Frank Cephous can return through the "The Twighlight Zone."
Uncle BF'er is getting worked up over this one and pushing the envelope a bit with his expectations. The bodies and talent aren't there this year for StM to compete.
Has there been one week that he hasn't had to eat crow after predicting a Sallies loss???

Wish I could make the game Thurs night. I'm on the road this week in Las Vegas. I did, however, see the game on the board at the Bellagio. StM and 12.
Ten dollars they must be out of thier mind. The Sals will destroy St.Marks sorry to say its not the rivarily it used to be St. Marks just doesnt have the numbers anymore like they used to.

Uncle Bummy; the only flaw in your argument is that the "mediocre team" beat the current number 1 team a year ago and they won't easily forget it. There will be no legacy game this season. Unless they all come down with food poisoning, this will likely be payback game #3 from a year ago.

I went to St. Mark's. We HATED Sallies and the feeling was mutual. The Spartan defense really struggled last week against St. E. I don't see them holding up at all tomorrow night and 35-7 isn't really that bad.
Its all in good fun.....
